Will Weights Be Trimmed?

I saw or read an interesting piece recently on all the different weight divisions in boxing and how in recent times in particular, many boxers are flying up and down the wieghts, especially at the lower end. Leaving titles vacant and all the other confusing things that come with it.

The suggestion was to remove some of the weight classes, streamline it a bit.

Would take away so many excuses, e.g- Marquez lost to Mayweather as he had to go up 2 weights. The fact is Mayweather was just better. Poor example I know, but you get my point.

Just wondering what people think on the idea?
