OK, so how would today's Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight the Felix 'Tito' Trinidad of yesteryear?
I think Floyd would catch a beat down, Tito was a huge welterweight, he had a decent jab, a powerful right cross and an above average left hook....hell an old De la Hoya damn near beat Floyd, a PRIME Trinidad surely would have beaten him
I've always felt Tito was vastly overrated, & with the suspicions about his handwraps, I just don't know. Even though there's a big size difference, I look at what Oscar, Winky & B-Hop did (although all were obviously bigger) & I think that Mayweather pot-shots him to a wide UD. I also never saw how people saw ODLH winning. Even giving him every round where he did something, you can't come up with more than five in his favour for me. I thought it was a typical Oscar fight, where the HBO commentary team made it far closer or far more favourable to Oscar than it actually was (see Oscar-Shane I & II, Oscar-B-Hop, Oscar-Whitaker, even the Sturm & Forbes fights).Quote:
