Hatton hints at comeback & wants to fight Mayweather again

Ricky Hatton Still Wants Revenge on Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Boxing News
He says he will probably give it another go in 2010. Interested to see what weight he comes back at & against who.
As for wanting to fight Mayweather again, we saw what that did to a Hatton in his 'prime'. Now it would be embarassing, even he seems to know he'd get KO'd again.
Re: Hatton hints at comeback & wants to fight Mayweather again
Right now I'd say Matthew Hatton is further up the queue for a Mayweather fight than he is.
Re: Hatton hints at comeback & wants to fight Mayweather again
I guess he wants to get revenge on the ring post as well then. :p
Re: Hatton hints at comeback & wants to fight Mayweather again
Hatton would be bonkers to try rekindle the flame thats been distingueshed since the last maywether bout. I suspect it would be an embarassing and desperate seeming exit from the sport from one of the all time greats. A shamefull scene weve seen so many heroes take.
Re: Hatton hints at comeback & wants to fight Mayweather again
I'd like to fight Mayweather too!
But mainly he's (this comes with a rythme)

read between the lines people.....it's obvious he wants Cortez to lace them up and to take him on in a 4 rounder lol

I still would favor Cortez by KO in 2.
Re: Hatton hints at comeback & wants to fight Mayweather again
lol.
Hatton should call it a day.
Re: Hatton hints at comeback & wants to fight Mayweather again
I really would hate for him to fight on. All the world class fighters in and around light welter would stop a 2010 version of Ricky Hatton. What's the point in fighting lesser fighters just to finish his career with a win?
Re: Hatton hints at comeback & wants to fight Mayweather again
If he gets back into the ring he want to be motivated to do it and Mayweather and Pac would be for him to get revenge. :p In reality Amir Khan would be more realistic.
Re: Hatton hints at comeback & wants to fight Mayweather again
just what the sport needs another excuse for floyd to get out of facing shane or cotto.
let's guess what ellerbe will tell lil floyd..
"Listen if we go down to 140 and fight him nobody will be able to say we only fight smaller men, I mean we can even go to england and beat him up, because right now Euros are worth more than dollars."
Floyd will say
"I mean ricky hatton is a tough guy he has a whole country behind him and he deserves a chance to prove it a was fluke. The pacman fight was a fluke. He can trump all that by beating the man that dominated the man that basically beat pacman twice. I mean doesn't this make sense because it will make more money? Doesn't it Roger?"
Roger:
"you know dem motherfuckers don't know nothin' bout boxing"
Re: Hatton hints at comeback & wants to fight Mayweather again
I can't stand Hatton, but in his defence here he's taken out of context. The interview is on Sky Sports site and he only says Maywether when really pressed about how he'd rather avenge (almost hypothetically), not even comitted to continue.
Re: Hatton hints at comeback & wants to fight Mayweather again
Hatton fighting floyd again lol !!!!! Hillarious, hey mid-as-well try that pac thing again too.

Despite me being a big Hatton fan.. I can't help but wonder if the bloke is fucking nuts. I mean.. Cortez wasn't THAT bad, he allowed some occasional holding and even then Mayweather dominated him at that too.
I can't help but think Ricky is just after more big paydays.. and doesn't have any regard for his health. I'm not saying he should call it a day, if you ask me he's still young(ish) and will always be a big name, but his days of fighting top 5 p4p's are over.. he's had two attempts, he came up way short on both. Why not just stick to fighting guys like Amir Khan or Timothy Bradley? Both of those fights will entertain the fans and will make a decent amount of money.
