I think that's rubbish. I don't believe for a second the points system would be in a fighters thoughts. Just winning is a bonus enough.
And it's especially off where Abraham and Taylor are concerned. Everyone that has follwed Abraham knows he's a very strong finisher. Think that was the 4th time he scored a 12th round KO.

It may not be an opinion we agree with but it's not altogether without merit.
It is possible that in the third round of fights someone will need three points to progress.

That's true.
I thought he was basing it on those first round fights though. IF it makes people fight out of the norm then yeah it's a decent point.

The point of boxing IS to hurt the opponent, I'm comfortable with that and a lot of people need to stop being in denial by saying 'oh it's a sweet science' (of course there is subtleness and genius in the best fighters' work). Perhaps the same people may have accused Dirrell of 'running' the other night.
