Campas/Camacho Jr. is this a first?
Yory Boy Campas enters the professional boxing ring for his 108th time this Friday to face Hector "Not my dad" Camacho Jr. The thing that I'm not sure if it has happened before is the very previous fight (may or june can't remember exactly) Yory Boy fought Hector Camacho Sr.
So that's my question. In boxing history has anyone faced a father and son in back to back fights before?

That was the other instance that came up (thanks CFH). But back to back, surely we can throw this is the Saddoboxing trivia vault.

Re: Campas/Camacho Jr. is this a first?
I saw this the other day, I was wondering the same thing. I actually saw the last few rounds of Camacho Senior vs. Yori Boy and the interview afterwards on a stream, it was showing after a big fight a while ago. It was car crash TV.

Fat a$$ Camacho Jr came in 5 1/2 pounds over at the weigh-in, and has 2 hours to lose it. :vd:

You're laughing but in the contest prediction, I said that Campas would beat him via UD just because he's a very correct veteran and because to me, Camacho JR is shot for quite a good time now. 5 and half pounds... that's like... HUGE by any means:S

Yep, the lazy basterd came to an agreement with the other camp to give up his $hitty little belt rather than sweat the weight off.
Re: Campas/Camacho Jr. is this a first?
Well live boxing is better than no live boxing anyone else watching this?
I hope they at least show the Escalante fight.
Re: Campas/Camacho Jr. is this a first?
Just read an artcile a month or so ago about how Camacho Jr has "rededicated himself to boxing" saying he is "in love with the sport again" he "loves to train." What a crock. 5 1/2 lbs? That's the most i've ever heard of anyone coming in overweight.
Aside from Christobal Arreola!

At least arreola didn't break a contract with his weight.
