A close one imo that could have gone either way. It was a lot like a Holyfield/Valuev 2. I had it 115-115. It was nice to see Haye score a moral victory with the jelly wobbler legs he made Valuev do in the 12th.
Anyway, simple poll to guage saddoboxing opinion (and only vote if you scored the fight as you went along).
115-113 Haye
Valuev slipped in the 12th imo, deffo wasn't hurt!
What was your card? how did you get to 115-115?
Hmm I cant remember the exact rounds as I dont write it down, I just remember the tally of rounds as I go (eg. 4-3 to Haye then 4-4 if Valuev won the next etc etc). I never had either fighter more than a round ahead at any one time though. And obviously theres 2 draw rounds in there where I simply couldnt decide.Quote:

Lousy Lousy fight but I go reluctantly with Haye; Valuev definitely made the fight but he landed jack and shit despite his good work rate. Haye didn't land 10 punches per round perhaps but he landed most of them... so yeah, tight and close decision for the braggart.
Same thought here based on what I saw. I will not vote though as I woke up late and missed the first 2 rounds. I need to watch the fight again before making an real conclusions. I was still half asleep during parts of the fight. :-\Quote:

Kidding, I had it 115-113 Haye as well, certainly a close fight, certainly boring not going to watch it again. Now comes the bigger challenge of making a defense within a year.

Haye def rocked Valuev late on though his legs were like jelly, just makes me wonder what would have happened if Haye knew from the start he could KO Valuev? Valuev has shown some real class by admitting that Haye was just too fast for him. People are on about Ruiz getting a shot next being the mandatory, but I wouldn't be at all suprised if Holyfield gets one last shot first.
Ruiz will be first: He was the mandatory and they had an arrangement with him so he would sideline for this fight and then pick up the winner. Perhaps in the making, after Ruiz, they will give the old man a last chance... which would be pathetic but well..Quote:
