Fighters seemingly unaffected by big beatings
I was thinking after watching Cotto-Pacquiao, what fighters all-time took serious floggings in losing efforts and it never really bothered their careers afterward?
Arturo Gatti took a ton of punishment in his losses and was able to rally.
George Foreman especially in his comeback took a beating from Holyfield only to go on to win the Championship vs Moorer.
George Chuvalo got absolutely BLASTED by Frazier and Foreman and he came back to win fights at a high level.
Carmen Basilio always took some punishment in all of his fights win or lose, but he was able to find it in himself to beat Ray Robinson.
Re: Fighters seemingly unaffected by big beatings
Holyfiled looked a shot fighter when he lost to Moorer, I would've bet my house that he was finished after that fight, but we arguably saw some of his best performances after than fight. A true warrior!

MAB came back from some punishing losses.

Yeah not to mention Riddick Bowe III. I honestly thought that was it but he got it back together, looked ok i suppose against Czyz then demolished Tyson, which i was absolutely over the moon about, in fact i watched Tyson I again this morning. Lol.

Seriously though, i thought Corralles was done after the pbf fight, but i guess the five knockdowns were misleading in the amount damage he took.
Re: Fighters seemingly unaffected by big beatings
Barrera is another 1 from McKinney to Morales and Pacman he just keeps rolling along and can beat anyone if taken lightly no matter how much punishment he has taken.

Just thought of a good one. Floyd Patterson, he got decked 7 times in one round by Johansson then came back and beat the guy twice, then he got demolished twice by Liston and came back to get wins against good fighters such as George Chuvalo, Henry Cooper and Oscar Bonavena. Got a draw with Quarry and went the distance with Jimmy Ellis in his second attempt to become the first 3 time HW champ of the world after he lost his first attempt to Ali. Shame he never managed in one way I suppose.
