Actually, Chavez tested positive for furosemide. Furosemide is one of many masking agents for steroids. A good experienced steroid user never tests positive for steroids, knowing when to cycle on and off, but can test positive for a masking agent. That is why the masking agents, most are legal, have been banned also.Quote:

He is a professional athlete in a sport which he knows employs drug testing, whether it was intentional or not I don't think the ignorance card should be counted as mitigation, Chavez or someone on his team should have been vetting what he's taking.Quote:

Well, I don't know what Chavez was on so I don't want to automatically say he was masking steroids. But masking agents are good indicators. Manny Ramirez got suspended from baseball for 50 games for testing positive for an illegal masking agent. Chavez looks guilty playing the ignorance card.
