Rita picked Dexter up from jail. So Trinty did not kill her then.
When Dexter was watching Trinity's family being led away Trinity was picking up his car. Trinty did not kill Rita then.
Dexter sabatoged Trinity's car and followed him until it broke down. Trinity had to of killed Rita before Dexter started following him, but he didn't because he was busy breaking into Deb's by mistake.
Unless, he did kill Rita before Dexter took the cap, but the car would have been black and Dexter would have had no way to find it.
Maybe Dexter took the cap before Trinity picked up the car. But this is not that case, because it means that Trinty drove to kill Rita with Dexter in tow. Besides, how would Dexter know when and where the car would break down unless he was in stealth mode the whole time?
So if Trinity did the killing it makes no sense no matter how you "slice" it.
I think that Quinn did it. Or some copy-cat.
No way that Trinity had the time to do it himself

I knew-I KNEW I shouldn't have clicked on this thread. I couldn't help myself, though. I saw all the episodes on On Demand except the last two. D'oh.
It was a great episode for sure.
Firstly, whoever killed Rita had to know about Dexter's childhood, as he spared his son, but placed him in a pool of Rita's blood.
Did Trinity know this? It's possible I guess as he broke into Debrah's house and she had all the files on her father but I though Dexter had shredded the details of his mother, so they wern't there?
Could it have been Dexter himself who killed her, in a Secret Window type way where he doesn't even know himself?
I don't think it was Quinn, the next door neighbour, but again he wouldn't know Dexter's orgin story........
Wonder what will happen next series, will Dexter be accused of the murder himself? Will he go on the run?
Yeah, I was pretty pissed off with this. Seems like they just thought of the most insane twist possible and went with it. Bet the writers are working over tie on this one trying to fix it...
Also, bullshit moment when Deb finds Dexter in the garage at Trinty's house - she's way too good a detective to be falling for that bullshit... he beats the fucking SWAT team in there? Nein, mein schwester...
And yes, poor fucking Rita. She was Dex's anchor? What the fuck happens now? Dexter Morgan as Mr mom?? Cody and Astor? And with Rita gone, Dexter (the show) loses 50 per cent of its wank material. Deb has never really done it for me, Quinn's missus was a hotty but blew her head off, that leaves me with LaGuerta... mmmmmm LaGuerta... ;)

I honestly couldn't stand Rita they turned her into a wining little stepford wife to me. I actually liked her better in the early seasons when she was just the girlfriend who was getting beat up by her ex husband.
I'm really curious to see where there take it next season theres a few different possibilities. I could see Deb really starting to poke her nose into Dexters night life and that might cause problems. Is Dexter going to have all three children now or is Ritas kids going to go live with there grandparents and Dex will only have his son or what will they do.

Sorry man I forgot I even posted this. I really don't think Trinity was the killer of Rita. Sorry you obviously took your time in writing out the scenarios and I just chopped it down with one sentence anyway. I think no way Trinity killed Rita. He would have told Dexter on his death bed as well a supposed moment of clarity as he did come clean with all of the other hoopla. More than likely to shove it in his face as "HA HA I got to her first". I don't think Quinn was the one he is corrupt but he is kind of a pussy I just don't think he'd have the balls for something like that. You never know I think it was the ex-husband of Rita. He supposedly died in prison but we were only told this. A man who had nothing but time to study what happened to him and find out who Dexter really is.
The dew was definitely off the lilly for me so far as Rita was concerned. It seems like they had nothing for her to do but annoy Dexter. How many times did she call him at work for crap she should have been taking care of WHILE SHE WAS ALREADY AT HOME?Quote:
