Douchebag??

Is the word Douchebag considered offensive stateside? I know it gets used a lot but I'd probably laugh if somebody called it me as it sounds a little :gay5:

It never gets used in the UK, I'd be surprised if people over here knew what one was. It got me thinking really what swear words are the most offensive, I called my mate a 'wanker' when drinking with some Americans at the MGM back in April and they hadn't a clue what it meant!

Wanker isn't as bad as Cunt, but fairly offensive if meant seriously... ;D
