Williams has said what many of us have been thinking - that he just doesn't have it any more. He says he hasn't been the same fighter since the Vitali fight & has been going off heart since then. Odd that he'd say this before his fight with Sexton. It's all after the jump.

It's quite disgraceful that he came out with this. I think he should have packed it in after his pathetic showing in the recent prizefighter tournament. Wouldn't suprise me if this fight doesn't go ahead. Think sexton might end up fighting harrison instead.
Strange timing obviously, but good to hear that he isn't fooling himself.
On another note, what a classic quote:
'this will be the last time the announcer introduces the name Danny Williams.....unless another guy called Danny Williams comes along'.
And you can't argue with that logic!
If it is his last fight then he will give it his all and may even win. Then what will he do?

They were talking after the Albert Sosnowski v Paolo Vidoz fight that they had a tentative agreement for Harrison to fight Sosnowski for the European heavyweight title. If the Williams fight doesn't go ahead, I'd put money on John McDermott stepping in for yet another shot at it.Quote:
