Amir Khan and Timothy Bradley as Pacquiao's sparring partners?
Is this true? If both guys will be Pacquiao sparring partner. I mean wow. Freddie Roach is dreaming big time.
Quote:
Freddie Roach makes his own list of rated top-A sparring partners for his pupil. Other than Amir Khan as Pacquiao's main sparring partner, I like to include Timothy Bradley in my list. Bradley, 26, is rated No. 1 in the light welterweight division. Like Mayweather, Jr., Bradley bears an orthodox stance at 5' 6 and remains undefeated with twenty-six wins. Roach says both Khan, former sparring partner of Pacquiao, and Bradley will make the best of Pacquiao for a Mayweather fight. And I have the keys to break down Mayweather even in the earlier rounds. Roach says in a telephone interview with this writer last Friday. "Mayweather will have no more excuses; We'll catch him early, if not it's going to be Pacquiao by unanimous decision. Pacquiao will strike on at unexpected angles that Mayweather will become frozen from taking too many shots. Roach adds. Meanwhile, amid a difficiult economy and a wave of lay-offs, boxing fans' enthusiasm continues to spread like a brush fire, eagerly anticipating the fight between two acclaimed pound-for-pound gladiators to take place.
Freddie Roach wants Timothy Bradley as one of Pacquiao's sparring partners
Re: Amir Khan and Timothy Bradley as Pacquiao's sparring partners?
I am sure they will at some time spar with Manny but I don;t think Freddie will let the world know his gameplan or reasons why he picks certain guys to use as partners...
Re: Amir Khan and Timothy Bradley as Pacquiao's sparring partners?
If Bradley and Khan are likely to fight in the future how likely will it be?
Re: Amir Khan and Timothy Bradley as Pacquiao's sparring partners?
Freddie neglects to realize that Floyd will be hitting Pacquiao from angles he won't see coming too.

Yes, like with a drug test ;D
Re: Amir Khan and Timothy Bradley as Pacquiao's sparring partners?
They would have to pay Bradley a lot of money and do not think they will want to do that.
Re: Amir Khan and Timothy Bradley as Pacquiao's sparring partners?
Khan will be more than likely as they already sparred in the past and both are hailing from the Wild Card. As for Bradley, that's the question mark. Depending of who BRadley intends to fight next, that might be a win-win situation for both of them, to have Manny as a sparring in order to prepare another fight is brilliant, so is the fact to spare with Bradley for Manny.
Re: Amir Khan and Timothy Bradley as Pacquiao's sparring partners?
I read an article somewhere with Bradley's response to this, basically "F*** Off, I'm no sparring partner"
I'm undecided if it would be a smart move or not for Bradley. I mean why wouldn't you want to test yourself against the P4P king? on the other hand if Bradley Vs Khan is a possible future match-up would you want Khan's trainer getting a good close look at you like that?
As for Khan being sparring partner, that makes sense as he'll probably be on the undercard. I heard somewhere Roach has even asked for a left handed fighter for Khan to fight next...

Floyd's not really an angle puncher like Pacquiao, just really quick pot shots.

If Bradley told him to f*** off Pacquiao needs to go back down to light welterweight after the Mayweather fight and mop the floor with Bradley's face!
