PBF's chance to turn EVERYTHING around
I think that right now PBF has the perfect opportunity to change everything around. PBF have always claimed that he never got the respect that that he deserved in boxing.
Now it would be a master stroke if he came out and said fine, in order to save this fight for boxing fans and boxing as a whole, he's willing for Manny to carry on with NASC drug testing while he subjected himself to Olympic style random testing. this would:
a) make him hugely popular among all non-pac fans
b) give him a newfound respect
c) if he whipped Pac in the ring the win would seem even greater
d) if he lost there would always be a question mark against the loss
e) the point has already been made regarding Pac and PED's
This seems a win-win situation for PBF and would take all the play away from Pac

Its a sad day when you choose to go to court to prove your not on drugs. Surely the only way to do that is to take a blood test:confused:

Even sadder that the greatest boxing fight I'll probably see in my lifetime has a slim chance of taking place. damn shame. hope manny and his camp wise up and stop with all the bs.

If the fight doesn't happen due to Manny refusing random blood testing, Floyd will go down as the first fighter in history (in a mega-fight) to request the type of test that will one day have to become the norm. Manny will go down as the first fighter (in a mega fight) to absolutely refuse, disappointing boxing fans and, in the process, throwing away one of the biggest paydays ever.
I think it's Manny who needs to turn things around.

Floyd beats him on or off steroids so right now it would be a master stroke if he pulled that. I'm surprised floyd hasnt thought of that. Then again im sure both parties have a plan to make this fight work..too much money left on the table otherwise

Solid thread here with level-headed people responding. I think that would be a stroke of genius. I don't think either one of these guys want to get in the ring with eachother. Both of them are one word away from making this fight happen, and going down as two of the all time greats, not to mention the payday. This is all beyond me.

I for one still think Mayweather is an A hole who is very uneasy about fighting Pacquiao for fear of losing! Why didnt he want Marquez to take blood? Marquez jumped up in weight did he not? Oh is it that Pacquiao is successful at it so lets move to Plan B, make him take blood samples during training? If Mayweather can request Pacquiao take blood tests to prove he's drug free can Pacquiao request that Mayweather get on his knees in front of ESPN and kiss Manny's rear end on national television! As roach said before Mayweathers not the king of the ring right now so why does he think he gets to make the new rules?

Very trite comment. PBF asked MP to do something that is quite reasonable, and which he himself would be doing. I fail to see any connection between a request that include repricocity, and one that does not.
How can you be a Number 1 boxing fan and equate a requirement that both participants in a competition be eligible for random drug testing with one of them kneeling in supplication at the feet of another. What facet of PBF Americanism relegates him to paying homage to MP Philipinism?
Look, I have no doubt that MP is a great fighter. But great fighters step up to challenges to prove themselves. PBF is undefeated. Manny is not. PBF has fought and defeated all but one of MP most dangerous opponents. The same cannot be said of Mann wih respect to PBF. When all the cards have been placed on the table what emerges is a fighter who a whole heap of haters would like to see get beat because of his assertiveness and unwillingness to be obsequious, and another who is well liked, and justly so.

I think at this point it is a pride issue. The promoters need to develop an alternative.
1. Random testing up till 30 days before fight should be sufficient for blood tests. Any thing he takes within the 30 days isn't going to have an impact.
2. Urine can detect hgh and epo so they can get around the blood test thing and make the fight happen.
3. ODH is an idiot for posting that Mosley, Vargas, and Pac's punches all felt the same?!? He remembers how a punch feels over 7 years ago and can compare it to one 1 year ago from memory!!!! What a dumb ass for throwing his hat into that ring.
Overall I think Pac has agreed to sufficient testing measures to prevent him from having full benefits of using steroids. It's possible he could squeeze something in with the 30 days but he wouldn't get much benefit. I think they could get a random blood test agreed to and it would put this whole thing to rest.

at least I see someone having some sense in this forum. ;)I know there are more out there who truly know what they are saying especially on the PEDS issue. Others are just plain haters which I have vowed to argue anytime.;D
