Roach resorts to all out lies

Funny interview where Freddy gets a bit antsy and lies when questioned about about testing methods:

"DT - Fred, can you understand that there are boxing fans out there that believe that if Mayweather Jr. is willing to take random blood test for Performance Enhancing Drugs, then why not Manny?

FR - I understand but it's all bullshit and here's why, HGH cannot be detected by blood, salvia, or Urine. Now salvia and urine are more complete test than blood for HGH and steroids. I talked to the head guy of the NFL about steroids and he said there is no reason for a blood test like they do with Olympic athletes, unless you are saving it and comparing it one year to another. This is a one fight deal, there is no sense in it. If you really want to get into the technical end of it, and I'm not qualified to do it, but the doctor's I've talked to are and they have said that HGH and any growth hormone cannot be detected by any test.

DT - Fred, I have a graduate's degree in Biochemistry and 30 years experience in developing blood chemistry tests.......I'll leave it alone, let's move forward.

FR - No wait, you can't tell me that there is a test that can detect HGH or growth hormones.

DT - Fred, I'm not here to make you mad.

FR - I'm not mad, I'm telling you that you are wrong if you think there is a test for HGH.

DT - Ok Fred, so you are saying that HGH cannot be detected by a blood test?

FR - Absolutely, 100%, NO! Saliva, blood, or urine.

DT - Freddie, please let's move on. Do you believe that this controversy is a result of the spectacular victory over Miguel Cotto where Manny looked super human?

FR - Mayweather is just scared."

i think its a bit odd that he has pretty much picked one drug out and focused all his attention on that... who has really said they are testing specifically for HGH ?

Come on now, is anyone actually going to believe him when he said that urine tests are more ffective than blood? So now they've moved from weak excuses to just plain lying about testing methods? What a joke, just take the damn tests and get the fight on

True, that's a bit suspect too.

Roach appears to have lost the plot too.

Roach has proven himself a supreme hypocrite over this debacle. First, it was an acceptance of Olympic testing in order to make the fight and then the outright refusal to even consider a blood test.

Like Manny, Roach has fallen. He too has lost a lot of respect.

Yeah, the more Pac, Roach, and Arum speak over their reasons for refusal of random blood testing the more guilty they seem. First Roach says Manny would take any test. He contradicts that. He said Manny doesn't like needles. His tattoos contradicts that. He said it will weaken him. The doctor screening before the Morales fight blood test and Hatton fight blood test contradicts that. He said PBF is scared to fight. PBF agreeing to all the terms, and first, contradicts that. He said Manny won't take anything not even a multivitamin. Manny's nutritionist contradicts that by saying he gives Manny supplements and a multivitamin. Even suggesting that Manny doesn't even know what he is taking. This list could go on a couple of paragraphs if I look back over the articles. This is just off the top of my head. This recent article just plainly makes Roach look stupid and overly guilty with no defense. Manny is only suing the people involved with maintaining he take random blood tests before the great fight. PBF didn't even say Pac is on anything. Sr. only said he thinks Pac is on something. DLH says it makes him wonder. Ellerbe and Shaeffer only want the test done. Malignaggi and Cintron outright said they think Manny is on PEDs but they're not being sued and Malignaggi is now a possible replacement opponent. Team Pac has made the fight of all time a debacle. They got every demand they want in their last few fights. You can't win suing against opinion. Just like Pac can't fight without PEDs. Oops, hope I don't get put into the lawsuit. :p

I'm more interested as to why someone with a Master's in biochemistry and 30 years of experience is doing interviews for a boxing website.

It's tough out there for everybody. Test tubes cost!

Hey man, maybe he thought "screw this...this is boring now! I love boxing and my ideal job would be to interview boxers rather than this boring 9-5 job"

Some of the happiest people in the world are volunteers who don't get paid but love the stuff they do :)
