I just came across this video from 2000, suprises me how much Martinez has come on, it's not in English. But Margaito puts quite a good beat down on Sergio. Maybe a rematch at 154??

Yeah, its just hard for me to look at Margarito's fights the same. All he had to do was punch a lot. There is no telling how long he had been loading his handwraps.
I personally hate Margarito . But I'd love to see the rematch . It's a good thread btw. A rematch would show how good Margacheato really is ( the one that beat Cotto, or the one that was crap vs Mosley) . So Margarito has alot to prove if he wants to buy any fans back- if at all it is possible. Beating Martinez would show he's still P4P and this time I don't see a way he can cheat since he will be controlled much more than any other fighter. And Martinez surely wants some vengence. Hopefully they make this fight at 154 and make the winner fight Williams .
I only agree if Margarito and Arum don't make one single buck for the fight. That cheater used weapons shamelessly and should be kept away from any boxing's earning for as long as he'll live. For the sake and credibility of boxing no matter what some fans might want.
I'm torn. I would quite like to see Margarito humiliated in the ring again, but the other part doesn't want him to ever get another shot at the top.

Margarito shouldn't be allowed to fight again! Who's to know if the wraps weren't illegal in that fight too? With that doubt & the close fight with Williams Martinez could still be arguably undefeated!
