Atlas says reliable sources confirm Manny is juiced
1) The first asked if the fight could happen and what would be the penalties if PAcquiao was tested positive.
2) Second asked if it was possible to keep it secret for the sake of boxing if Pacquiao was proven positive.
I hope for him that it's true otherwise, here comes the lawsuit but indeed, this is getting quite interesting...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cHRG...ayer_embedded#at 2:00, Atlas states that some reliable sources of him told him that the Pacquiao Clan wrote 2 mails to the Mayweather's camp.
Re: Atlas says reliable sources confirm Manny is juiced
I'm glad that Atlas took the stance he did. The whole "I will not be dictated to argument" is weak to say the least. A two week window is ideal. Roach said himself that Manny doesn't feel comfortable for 3 days after taking blood. Well Mayweather has offered 2 entire weeks. And Pacs camp decline it? Hmm.
I'm not sure how reliable these emails are that Atlas is talking about, but even without emails and added scandal, Pacquiao still looks highly suspicious. The fight is available, Mayweather has said that he wants to fight. What are we waiting for? Oh right, Manny is worried about a blood test! I was watching that dicumentary "Supersize me" the other day. The guy was getting blood tests practically everyday without a bother. What is Manny's excuse? He's like a little kid, "Mummy. Don't let them touch my blood! Wa wa wa".
It seems to me that Pac really must be juicing or else simply doesn't want to fight Mayweather.

Yeah I pretty much agree, it's very hard to state how his sources are reliable but it seems like there is a bit more smoke than what it used to have, I don't know but if I was Atlas, I wouldn't make such comment with a very high certitude, especially now that some lawsuits have been engaged. let's see how it pans out and definitely, 2 weeks window is more than acceptable in the circumstances.

If those emails exist and Atlas is convinced that his source is reliable then fair play to Atlas on speaking out. If that is not the case, then it probably wasn't so smart. But I like Atlas and like to think he wasn't plucking information out of thin air. Apart from the emails which I really don't know about, I thought he argued his case well. Why not just take the tests and fight? That is just what we are all asking and Atlas seems to be on the same page too.

Well i dont think hes that liable because he says hes not claiming manny is dirty and that he has someone telling him that they saw emails. He is not claimed to have seen them himself, hes only saying what someone else told him.

That's true. Atlas probably covered himself quite well.

I think, like Miles said, that his way to phrase things is in order to protect him as much as possible, you know the kind of "I am not saying that Manny is juiced but I have very good and reliable sources that are stating that..."

People on this forum have lost it! I would not say Pacquiao is afraid to take a blood test because he might get caught. It makes no logical sense at all. Here is why.
Let us say, you have amassed a very nice fortune and could retire today. You love your wife and family dearly and wouldn't do anything to jeopardize your relationship. They are more important to you than anything and would die for them. You are planning a trip to a Vegas conference. You have actually cheated on your wife and got away with it because it's impossible that you could ever get caught. (There is almost no guy wouldn't) Your friend is another very wealthy guy going with you and his gold digger wife suspects him of cheating. His wife is watching him very closely and has actually hired a private detective to watch his every move. Your wife knows this and has told you about it. Your friend tells you that he has lined up some very hot playboy mansion type girls for your trip to Vegas. Now tell me you're going to screw up the life you love and cheat! That would make no sense at all.

Your argument makes no sense at all.
3 weeks windows according to every specialists = the eternity to cheat and to prepare cycles, go to the other topics, we've discussed it a lot.
If he has nothing to hide, for a juicy 40 millions, Manny should have no problems to take it, especially as doctors have stated that the quantity of blood was way too small to weakens out anybody.
I did sail many boxing forums and I've decided to stick here because the quality of the argumentation in general is unprecedented, peoples (most at least) try to be as objective as possible, this forum to me is only losing it when fanatics fan come to defend their boxer at all costs even though it doesn't make sense.
Re: Atlas says reliable sources confirm Manny is juiced
There is no reason to question Teddys integrity as he has no loyalties towards either camp but if what he says is true then that pretty much confirm Pac has been on roids all along.
" If mannys tests positive can we keep it secret for the sake of boxing?"
Tells us all we need to know
Re: Atlas says reliable sources confirm Manny is juiced
I'm sorry but what I believe Teddy (who I like and respect) just said is that he has been told by a reliable source that...
Somebody from within the Pacquiao camp sent a piece of electronic communication (that can be saved, printed whatever) and in it asked the Mayweather camp what the penalty would be if Manny tested positive to performance enhancing drugs. THEN they send ANOTHER EMAIL asking that, IF Manny WAS found to be using PED's, could they KEEP IT A SECRET?? This is what I'm supposed to believe?
Why would someone in Pac's camp do that?
Seriously, this shit just went completely Days of Our Lives.

That explains it all then. Seriously, I have no idea what you are trying to say.

It sounds absurd, doesn't it. I suppose we should just wait and see what emerges in the next few days. But to incriminate themselves in such a way would be one of the stupidest things ever.
Re: Atlas says reliable sources confirm Manny is juiced
The whole thing is a joke, never have I know crap like this and really puts me off boxing. Juicing up is wrong and Pac Man has been caught out! :(
Re: Atlas says reliable sources confirm Manny is juiced
Of course it is Miles - you'd have to be insane to do that.
IF Pac is juicing, and it's still a pretty big if for me, then you submit to the testing, get off the gear and try and beat him naturally. Win or lose, you take your $40 million and ride off into the sunset.
You DON'T ask them what the penalty would be if you keep doing it:-\
How absurd is that? So Ben Johnson doesn't get caught at Seoul, but Carl Lewis wants random testing for Barcelona. Johnson's coach rings up the Olympic committee and says - "look guys we've got a bit of a problem here... how bad would it be if my guy tests positive for PED's? Hmmm... that's pretty bad... ok... well is there any chance we could keep it a secret for the good of athletics?";D
Only in boxing.
I've just got to face facts that I am in love with the most fucked up sport in the world. It's like having a massive horn for a woman who likes to use knives in the bedroom, screw other blokes and who talks about healing and growth all the time. You know it's going to hurt but you go there anyway:D
