It was shown in one of the aussie papers today that Jones jrs camp had taken photos of the so called plaster wraps they are claiming were on Greens hands on fight night. They claim to have disputed the wraps but the commision let it go and now they are protesting as they have evidence that the wraps were illegal.
If this is true then Greens win and career could be looking a little shakey. Greens camp said they used these wraps all the time so it would put alot of question over his wins.
I am not too sure about all the details but IMO....The fight against Green wraps illegal or not (Though in no way do I condone any type of illegal wraps)...Jones would have lost....He was not really hurt in the fight just over whelmed and could not even get off....If Green kept it up another 30 seconds Jones would have suffered more then embarrassment....Even if Green had Pillows on his hands...
I hope this is just something from Jones camp trying to find a way around the embaressment and Green has been fair and square all along....
If the wraps were illegal then Jones really should have refused to fight until the problem was fixed. Greens camp would have had to step down or else cancel the fight and if he was acting improperly then it would have all come out and Green seen as the one in the wrong.Quote:

I don't think the fight suggests Jones is as shot the performance suggested either. He get caught early and just couldn't find his balance again. I still think a Hopkins fight would be a good one, but obviously that one has lost a fair bit of its lustre after the Green debacle.
I think I've seen the picture it's a picture of the dressing rooms and the wraps are either hanging on the wall or have some type of adhesive that makes them stick, can't tell and can't really remember. They do like unusual handwraps but hell I don't know. Either way, it would be nice if Jones just rested on his laurels and retired. I would love for him to make a return to commentating before he starts slurring his speech.
Theres a photo with Jones Jrs sparring partner with someone holding a box or something. The claim is that once the whole wrapping process is done then his hand would of been like a cast.
The bad thing is that Jones has a rematch clause with green and may be trying to use this to secure a rematch :-\
It is odd after all those years of pciking opponents carefully and never travelling that hed fight someone after suspecting their wraps enough to take a photo as evidence.
If Green did have suspect wraps, then its only fair he gets the same treatment as Margarito.
From what I saw of the fight, Jones fought as he has always done, he got dropped fair enough but he wasnt really wobbling around after, hes just useless against a pressure fighter and always has been, he puts his earmuffs on and just lets them wail away, he wasnt really taking any clean shots either, I think id have let it go on a little more, I think Green would have blown out a bit after that but I dont think Jones was hurt or in danger there and I dont really like Jones either, I just hate seeing supposed massive fights get stopped for nothing when you have Gatti and Ward and Castillo and Corralles.
If this is true, then seriously fuck Danny Green, although you have to wonder why Jones was congratulating him at the end if this guy had gone into the fight with loaded wraps. I'd have been pissed & made a deal of it at the end, if not before the fight.

I did not really get into the whole thing to tell the truth, I was under the impression that this was said after the bout and not known until the bout was over....If they knew something was up before the bout you are right why complain after the fight and why go into the fight knowing the wraps are not leagle......Quote:

I agree Jones was not hurt just over whelmed and could not get off...Kind of reminded me of Calzaghe Vs Manfredo...Peter was not hurt just caught in a storm he could not get out of...Though Peter would have lost anyhow but at the stoppage he was not getting hit with terrible damaging shots just a bunch of them
