NHL player make accusation that an officials personal vendetta cost his team the game
Check these comments out, I've never seen another player in professional sports make this kind of allegation. Burrows claims the ref came up to him during the pre-game skate and told him he was going to get him back because Burrows made him look foolish in a previous game.
The penalty calls were ridiculous, which lends credence to his claims. One of them, an interference call with under 4 minutes left in a tied game, wouldn't even have been called in basketball.

That is pretty bad actually. Ref should lose his job if he can somehow prove it. Otherwise they are just bad calls.

I've never heard allegations of this sort in any of the major North American leagues, which is why I find it interesting. I guess no one else does though :p. I'm sure if a football player made the same accusations it would be everywhere.
