Amazing shots. :o
That picture no 12 just doesnt look possible whatever way around you look at it!
I have a mate who owns a bike like one of those (i'll ask him when I ring him later) they ride from Sydney straight out into the middle of Australia he says there are roads out there called bulldust roads like fine talc but just dry dust about 2 feet deep . The only way through is to hit them at 150kms per hr minimum and you cannot backoff whatever you do or go straight over the handlebars!
They lost two riders last time they went out, one broke both arms and both collar bones the other came out reasonably ok!
They go and sleep where Mad maxThunderDome was flimed. The giant cage is still all out there untouched. He recons the whole set is still out there, you pass by all the wrecks on the sides of the roads and recognize them from the films.
There are people out there living in houses, petrol sniffing is a big past time apparently. Theres no grass no plants nothing for miles and miles and once a week a giant hauler comes through with their post and their supplies and thats it for them. Thats their life. Red dust and petrol.
Fantastic pictures mate! This race is all about navigation and endurance.Dangerous sport to say the least!
