Which boxers would be the best hosts for boxing events?
So Lennox Lewis has his regular spot on HBO. Antonio Tarver gets on pretty frequently on Showtime. ESPN2 has regular appearances by BJ Flores.
I know Roy Jones Jr. has done a lot of spots, George Foreman and Nate Campbell have been on a few times as well.
I think Malignaggi would be a great one personally. He speaks fast sure, but he's not afraid to say what's on his mind.
Re: Which boxers would be the best hosts for boxing events?
I like Lennox Lewis, in his limited role.
Tarver is actually pretty good too.
I used to think I liked Foreman, however, I recently watched some fights that he worked and he said some stupid things and was kind of annoying.
I find B.J. Florez to be annoying.
Sean O'Grady was good; what ever happened to him.
Re: Which boxers would be the best hosts for boxing events?
The guys that WOULD be the best...
Paulie Malignaggi, Ali(if he didn't have parkinsons), James Toney, Bernard Hopkins, Bernard Hopkins and Bernard Hopkins. Oh and maybe James Toney... ;D
Re: Which boxers would be the best hosts for boxing events?
Johnny Nelson is good but Shite boxer.
Amir Khan would be good when he retires.
Shane is good.
Tyson knows his stuff.

It would be interesting to have Mayorga in there.
Tessitore: Teddy, he just can't find his rhythm. What would you tell him in that situation
Atlas: He's like the caboose of a train that's carrying a nuclear warhead and flying off the track and his jab is the only way to get back on. Use that jab and follow up with the right and BANG right there.
Mayorga: I f*cked your mother.
Atlas: Just like we talked about in the fight plan he's coming out like a sausage McMuffin on a cold day in July, a little more in the range and BANG and down comes the rain.
Mayorga: F*ck you, (lights cigarette) I f*cked your mother.
Tessitore: Back to you BK!

One of the greatest posts in the history of Saddos.
I think any fighter known for 'personality' would be good. I know Hopkins, Nate & RJJ are good of those currently mentioned.
I can bet Mayweather & Malignaggi would both be good. They've both got personality, but more importantly they don't have accents that are impossible for most people to understand (see why Naz & Tyson would never have worked). Also having seen Haye on the Mayweather-Hatton UK broadcast, he will definitely be very good at it. I suspect the Klitschkos also will, despite not having as much charisma as those previously mentioned.
Re: Which boxers would be the best hosts for boxing events?
Kevin Kelly needs to be given a job somewhere. And I thought Shannon Briggs had good mic skills. Way better than Lennox Lewis has

Yeah I forgot about Briggs, he seemed to take to the mic pretty well.
Re: Which boxers would be the best hosts for boxing events?
I like Campbell with a mic in his hand... He speaks well, has good on the spot commentary and looks the part. I could get behind him behind that desk.

I like Campbell too, he's like Morpheus leading people out of the Matrix (the matrix being the bs politics of professional boxing)
