Will De La Hoya Fight 1 more time???
I was just looking at the Golden Boys record which is 39-6(30). I wonder if DLH is getting itchy gloves and thinking about lacing them up again...especially if he wants to make his record a little more credible i.e. retire on a win against one of the champs and If I was him I would try to round my record up to 40 wins instead of an odd number of 39....not only that but im sure he would get loads more money fighting a B+ fighters
Because he was struggling at the weight he would have to fight at Light Middleweight or Middleweight, lets see who could be a potential comeback fight:
Yuri Foreman
Cory Spinks
Sergio Gabriel Martinez
I think DLH beats all these with the exception of Martinez, too tough a comeback but the other 2 are ready to be taken and wont last long has champions
DLH could even compete pretty well against the Middleweight Champions and I would love to see him rematch Felix Sturm in Germany and set the record straight and it would be a cracking fight.
I reckon by the end of 2010 DLH will comeback...what do others think, im sure there are fans who would wish him back??
Job Biscuit (Missing the Golden boy)!!!!
eh eh!!

he should stay retired, Martinez seriously injures him and IMO Foreman even beats him at this stage, which is just sad
if anything he should comeback and whoop Chavez Jr. just to piss off JCC Sr. lol

Yes, that would be a great senario....Chavez Jnr some how is number 1 WBC contender.....that would be a great fight and DLH still has it to do a number on this great pretender. I have seen some fights of Chavez Jnr and IMO he just hasn't got what it takes. Hes so protected he should live in Fort Knox....when this boy fights anyone who should be in the top 10 he will loss badly......but yes what a GREAT double that would be and it would probably be the first man to beat a father and son in pro Boxing....would I be right or has this happened...??
Job Biscuit (A double in the taking here)!!!

Dont think he should come back.Got lots of millions and has GBP making money.Doesnt need another lose on his record to a less of a fighter that in his prime he would of beaten.
Re: Will De La Hoya Fight 1 more time???

IMO Spinks might beat him too. He gave Taylor all he could handle (and I think he won).
Re: Will De La Hoya Fight 1 more time???
This might sound crazy, but I'd say if it were possible to do, he'd fight Hatton at the drop of a hat. Dollars to be had for sure.
Re: Will De La Hoya Fight 1 more time???
I am sure all fighters get the itch to fight but it is not worth it and he will gain nothing other than loads of money and his ego massaged.
Re: Will De La Hoya Fight 1 more time???
I think he might.
Sugar Ray Leonard couldn't stay away.
Oscar might be the same way.
Re: Will De La Hoya Fight 1 more time???
I can't see him coming back.....i hope he doesn't come back.
Re: Will De La Hoya Fight 1 more time???
He mite still b competive:-\
But whats da point???
Sure he might get 40 wins & a title:o
But if hes not fightn an elite guy
Will it effect his legacy at all???
Re: Will De La Hoya Fight 1 more time???
Might just make him feel a little better that his last fight wasn't an embaressing stool-job at the hands of a roided midget.
You know, fighters like to go out on a win and all that.
Re: Will De La Hoya Fight 1 more time???
Oscar is without doubt an ATG and with the exception of "maybe" Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield, he is the most recognisable boxer since Ray Leonard and Co.
In his last fight he was battered by a man that IMO would not have had a chance against him in his prime. So for me he should not fight again.
I wouldn't be surprised if he fought Hatton though at some point in a multi-million dollar fight, the problem is he'd probably win and then think he could have another spell in the sunshine.
