FFN Sykes v Morris who you got?
This is seriously hard one to call, Morris has been out of the limelight for a while and is now back at super featherweight, Sykes looks a decent prospect and upset Anthony Crolla in a mini classic few fights back, cant pick a winner me, If I had to put my neck on the line I think Sykes wins a close decision.
But a very well matched fight.
Re: FFN Sykes v Morris who you got?
Although Morris came in at the scales, two ounces below the nine-stone-four limit, Sykes had mis-judged his weight and was 10 ounces over.
Morris, nicknamed the Wythenshawe Warrior, heckled Sykes, commenting: "That (sic) what it takes to become a champion, Gary."
Sykes was given one hour to make the weight or risk losing his dream shot at the title but after an anxious wait, he returned to the scales, having shed two pounds in just 20 minutes, and came in at 9st 2lb 11oz.
Sykes said: "If anything, having to lose the weight took a bit of the nerves off the occasion for me. I am just not thinking about the L word and I am confident, I will win. I don't usually like having to stare out my opponents but when I looked at him (Morris), I felt confident. It was good."
Around 300 of Sykes supporters are set to be at Huddersfield Sports Centre for the fight on Friday, which is also live on Sky TV from 10pm.

Pardon me for sounding like an out of date idiot Skel, but wasn't Sykes scheduled to meet Ricky Burns?? What happened there....

The Martinez fight got put back on mate but instead of it in Puerto Rico it's now in Scotland so good look to Ricky in that one, weird how change of venue can change things so much in PR i fancied Martinez now in Scotland I think Burns has a cracking chance to win the WBO belt, I think it is on the 24th April.
On another note Tyson Fury is back in action tonight on sky.
Re: FFN Sykes v Morris who you got?
i put 10 bucks on sykes by ko even though i voted in the pred contest on sykes ud. Decent odds. Fury? o yeah that guy. he lost so much hype .
Re: FFN Sykes v Morris who you got?
Great scrap as I thought very close fight a lot of close rounds I had Morris 116-112, but most rounds were very close.
Final scorecards.
115-114
115-114
116-113
All in favour of Sykes.

I had Morris 1 up, but they were right, could have gone either way......
Tyson Fury is absolutely terrible, his hype has gone, and in the rematch, MacDermmot is gonna beat him again..... He actually had a busted nose (bleeding nose) and got caught with three or four good shots by that joke of an opponent until he laid down and cowered like a young boy. I think David Haye would have a field day with Fury.
Re: FFN Sykes v Morris who you got?
115-113 for gary sykes i had it, once again the sky boys get it arse around tit and have the result the wrong way around.
Good to see tyson fury hasnt taken his beating from mcdermott seriously, hasnt put on an ounce of muscle, fights with his chin high and has no particular gameplan.
The second a half decent heavy gets back in with him he`s gonna get destroyed. Heck i even wouldnt mind seeing audley bang him out

Man, you know what, I would, on thinking about it, pay to see that, and I really wouldn't mind who got KO'd. Sad to say though, Tyson Fury, although Miles might disagree, is an even bigger hype job than Amir Khan, and that has taken a bit of doing. I'd like to see him in with Chisora too. Chisora would have him out early man for sure....
