Universum loses one boxer after another...
Just read at fightnews.com :
Two-time former middleweight title challenger and ex-European champion Khoren Gevor has been granted his release from Universum by a Hamburg court. Promoter Klaus-Peter Kohl stated, āIām totally surprised by the decision, which is a plain miscarriage of justice.ā
Thats the third now former Universum fighter, who apparently wasn't happy with the way Universum promotes them...first Sergiy Dzinziruk, then Felix Sturm and now Gevor...and lets not forget that both Klitschkos were a long time under Universum contract and had also a hard time getting out of it...wouldn't be surprised if Zsolt Erdei is next...
Re: Universum loses one boxer after another...
Quite interesting, they did lost Fritz Sdunek too who did gave up his job as head coach of the stable, quite another regretful lost if you ask me. He stated health reason and that he would, for now, only train Vitali but god knows what's the truth behind i. NOt sure about what they are doing wrong but it looks like the discontent is quite large.
Re: Universum loses one boxer after another...
Man bad news for Universum, haven't seen Sturm fight in quite a while. Gevor is a solid boxer that makes for entertaining fights, I can see people going out of their way to watch him. What the hell is universum doing?

You seem to know a fair bit about the Universium problems, what is the exact reasons of it if you can share?
Re: Universum loses one boxer after another...
What's the latest on Golovkin? I heard he was trying to get out of his contract. At this rate they're going to lose all their fighters except for a few heavyweights and the women.

I only know what I read or see in the news, but its no secret that Universum promoted fighters get mostly low profile opponents, there are nearly none exciting match ups and fighters for example Zsolt Erdei started complaining about that wanting bigger fights.Instead Universum put their fighters against each other in the ring saving promoting money I guess...

I only know that he was Sturms next mandatory(which would again had been an internal stable duell),but not sure if thats right anymore...
