Lost All Respect For Hopkins
I was a big hopkins fan. I am also a fan of RJJ. In my opinion, I thinks its a shame that he would have to pull some of the stuff he did. He made it a tough fight to watch. I really hope he doesnt retire so my mans Bad Chad can whoop his ass and make him retire. Just my opinion.

thing is even with all of his acting and crap, you can't blame either guy more than the other for the fight being as crappy as it was, Jones wasn't doing any better and was fighting plenty dirty himself

I believe the fight may have turned out differently if it weren't for hopkins dirty tactics like the low blows and rushing in with the head. NOt to mention the clinching after every 3 punches.

Bit strong to say you have lost all respect for the man considering all that he has done. No doubt he made a fool of himself but it does not take away from his accomplishments.

Hopkins is one the cutest boxers I have ever seen. I respect his talent, but his antics on Saturday night were just bullshit. From a Philly native, and a guy with that much talent, I was disgusted at his behaviour. He did exactly the same thing with Calzaghe. I dont even mind his dirty tactics at times, mainly because he is so so so clever with it, you cant help but somehow admire it.
But he is like a bully that crys when he gets a taste of his own medicine, and served up in lesser portions. He instigated every single foul initially, then cried like a little faggot when he got touched. He was trying to steal points with his acting, even though he was winning. Holding the back of his head at the end of the fight and his trip to the hospital afterwards was pure bullshit and a show for me.
He is an all-time great, that very rarely fights to his full potential. His actions made me sick. Jones was the moral victor, even though his gun-shy appproach wasnt enough, and was never going to be enough to win the fight.
I just dont get Hopkins, I really dont. He made me fukking sick to be honest. He should be ashamed of himself.

I repped you, because it was super candid and heartfelt. Hopkins IS an alltime great. But he gets too much of a free ride from his fans because he IS an ATG. I personally chose NOT to pay to watch the fight, because I knew what was coming. After a while, his antics come off as those of a clown, plain and simple.
