Haye now ranked #2 contender in the world
After his impressive victory this past week, Haye has finally closed the gap between him and the Klitschkos.

And why not.
He's gotta step up to the Klitschko plate now though.

Actually now he has to fight Valuev again.
Re: Haye now ranked #2 contender in the world
Don't think he'll take another Valuev fight.
I can see him being pushed into a Hopkins fight, just to build up his rep in the USA prior to a Klitschko showdown.
............but what do I know....

Thoses deals are never set in stone. Valuev's people know the fight wasn't good enough to warrant a rematch or anyone paying for it. Haye is also now a big star in his own right (he can sell shitloads in Britain), so the WBA wont give a fuck.

I don't think their promoter, Golden Boy, wants that fight. Golden Boy wants Haye to be the next big thing at Heavyweight not get spoiled by a B-Hop upset or horrible fight to watch (which B-Hop will definitely provide) and I'm pretty sure Golden Boy wants B-Hop to retire.
Haye is the future though. I love the guy. The handspeed, the speed, his defense is good. He kinda reminds me of a much slower, bigger, version of a prime RJJ. Love the guy. Wanna see him fight Wlad...now, but I think he'll take Valuev on again or have a US Showcase against a top 10 heavyweight.

If they put him in with Haye
i'm pretty sure they want him dead.
Re: Haye now ranked #2 contender in the world
if WBA request a Valuev rematch then he should give up the belt - he don't need it and it would be another nail in alphabet boys coffin.
The whole world (well most) knows its between him and the Klitschkos for the number 1 heavyweight title.
Would love to see him demolish Audley Harrison inside a round and rid us of that clown but that's way too beneath him now.
So....Kiltschko, Klitschko, Povetkin then that up and coming German guy i can't remember. Then retire before he has to fight Tyson Fury as that guy is lethal.
Re: Haye now ranked #2 contender in the world
What was he before?...Figured since he had then WBA title he would have been ranked right behind the brothers anyway

No way that B-Hop would even get a chance to make it a horrible fight.

He has swapped places with Povetkin.
Re: Haye now ranked #2 contender in the world
For beating john ruiz ??!!! Absolutly the funniest thing i've heard today. Hell why not, that they even had ruiz ranked anywhere period is a laugh in itself. How you can outrank either of the klitchko's by running your mouth and avoiding them is beyond me.

Ahhh....I always forget about Povetkin....Truth is I really don't watch the heavies much unless important fights
