Muhammed Ali fought 50 men, only one disappeared
ESPN - OTL: Shadow Boxing - E-ticket
Extremely interesting read about Jimmy Robinson, a man who fought Muhammed Ali and then seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth. It's a bit long, but really worth the read. Check it out and give me your thoughts.

I read this story a few months back on ESPN. It's a great story, very well written. I'm sure this is a story that many ex-athletes can relate to. There are a lot of guys out there with stories like this. I posted something up yesterday about Rocky Lockridge being on Intervention on A&E. I was not familair with him before the show. He was a 2-time lightweight champ. He beat Roger Mayweather for the WBA belt then went on to win another, i believe IBF. He became involved in drugs and lost his family and had been living on the street for 10 years strung out on drugs. It was a good story too if you want to check it out.

That's a really well written article, and it shown the heartache and pain of the hustlers, bums, tomato cans, honest pugs and tragic heroes who fill boxing.
It's less than one percent of fighters who make a decent living, half that who leave the sport unscarred and half of that again who ever become world champs (even when there are thousands of them around nowadays)

Brilliant read, if only Sweet Jimmy knew how sought after he was/is.
That is assuming he is alive to know... :-\
