Cant open a DOC file on my laptop!!! Can anybody help
Got an invoice for some work I done but its in a DOC file (what ever that is) and my laptop cant or wont open the file.
Up to now I have only really used my laptop for the internet and a bit of photo editing.

That is a microsoft word program you will need that installed on your computer to open it.
prorp get a free trial from here...
Microsoft Download Center
just to open it.
i am not sure but i also think you can open it with word pad... that comes free with windows just open it up and choose file open and navagate the file you want to open although i'm not 100% sure if that will open it but its worth a try ;)

If I'm not mistaken you should be able to open it as a .rtf file. Or do I have that backwards. Maybe it has to be saved as .rtf. Ah well.
How do you not know what a .doc file is? Must be one of those cursed Mac users.
