Was chatting to a mate the other night who was telling me how the only reason the brothers are so loved in germany is because of the fact the family are somehow infamous within the german community for being nazi war heroes of some kind

Well IF something like that is true and they do have ancestors that were Nazi sympathizers the past...Past is the past...
Many families had relatives who were Nazi sympathizers back then due to NEED not WANT.....Many had a choice...With or Against......When you are in the middle of the circle when the ultimatum is given most go "With"....
Most Germans, Russians, countries that were considered part of Russia, countries surrounding Russia etc...Hate Nazi's and there is no glory for having history with them...There is no glory in Germany for anyone who was a part of the Nazi faction
Even those who today believe it was a good cause (Though only maniacs and racist believe in what Nazi's stood for as it was not just a thing against Jews or people of color they made the rules up as they went along)....Will not admit it due to what it stands for and the shame it brought to Germany
Can't blame them for history mate and again IF it was true we don't know the circumstances why their ancestors had taken part in it
