Paolo Nutini: The Great American Song Book (BBC)
BBC Four have been screening a show called 'The Great American Songbook' which features some of the worlds most captivating vocalists performing covers of some really great songs... Iv'e got to tell ya, I got chills from some of these performances.
I never really rated Paolo Nutini but then I guess it all comes down the type of song you sing.
A really great show, glad I watched it.
More importantly, I hope you guys can take the time out to enjoy it as well :)

He's a real talent, but I can't listen to him because his scottish accent comes through and spoils the songs imo. It's like listening to Billy Connoly

ooh, no.
Paoli Nutini is just not a person I would regard as able to offer a definitive interpretations of songs. The guy looks stoned and sounds silly. His band sounds cheap too. Is this what passes for credible music these days? The Billy Connolly thing has a resonance about it. I can't take that seriously as music of any substance.
