Super 6 Tiebreaking Rules?
For a little clarification here's a few scenarios, anyone know how they play out?
Dirrell loses to Ward
Froch loses to AA
Top 4 advance so what if those guys end up witroh 2 points each? I'm assuming Froch advances which makes that decision stink even more.
What if Ward loses 2 and Froch loses, what is the tiebreaker there for 2 guys who haven't fought each other?
What if Allan Green loses to Ward but beats Kessler by KO and ends up tied with Abraham at 3 points? What then would Abraham's tiebreaker against Taylor kick in?
Re: Super 6 Tiebreaking Rules?
This is super relevant to Bute too in a way because he'll likely be fighting one of the 5 or 6 guys as they will be among the only guys available to fight most likely.
Re: Super 6 Tiebreaking Rules?
Just like with every other part of this farcical tournament they make the rules up as they go along
Just as long as the system involves ensuring andre dirrell or andre ward eventually win the tournament it`ll be just dandy for those running this at showtime:(:(:(

The best fighter in the tournament and pre tourney favourite is given the toughest groupings by having to fight dirrell, kessler and abraham with the last 2 being the toughest match ups both requiring him to fight away from home.
The andres get comfortable home town match ups one of which immidiately gets to fight the weakest fighter in the tourney coming off the back of his blatant cheating against kessler while the other one feigns injury and gets the win instead of an automatic DQ for play acting
Re: Super 6 Tiebreaking Rules?
Who knows?
Also, why wouldn't Showtime want Froch to win against Kessler? Who's more appealing to the Americans, some guy from a country most couldn't place on the right side of the continent or a dumb yet fairly exciting Brit. What is their motivation for conspiring to kick Froch out?
You're attitude is why good ideas don't last in boxing or at least catch on. It's not rigged, there have been some extraordinary circumstances and one horrendous decision. In reality the Abraham-Dirrell fight isn't controversial in the least, pretty cut and dry actually as even if he was acting, you can't get DQ'd for acting, only hitting someone flush while they are on one knee not looking at you.

Why dont we just say if we are gonna have a fair non-biased competition such as this we will hold every single fight in neutral venues thus ensuring that the real winner will provail every time
the current super 6 reads;
ward 3
abraham 3
Froch 2
kessler 2
Dirrell 2
green 0
had the results of been fair it would now read:
abraham 5
froch 4
kessler 2
ward 0
green 0
dirrell 0
see how the american thing comes into play
Re: Super 6 Tiebreaking Rules?
So Kessler beats Ward in a neutral location? Am I going to have to dig up some of your day-after posts HTHomo?
Re: Super 6 Tiebreaking Rules?
Hammer did you suffer a heavy fall on your head on the weekend?
Did you miss the Froch/Dirrell fight? I scored that fight 117-110 to Dirrell.

I keep forgetting not to try to debate with the drunk. Not sure you're at a full blown alcoholic stage yet but you certainly play the part well enough on here.

good for you, thankfully justice provailed and the better fighter won out in the end
Amat - i really just cant deal with you right now. Your beyond retarded and i somehow find your quibberings to be of great annoyance
I meant kessler should of got the DQ win on several occasions for the fact ward fought a large part of the fight with his head
Re: Super 6 Tiebreaking Rules?
;D There were 2 accidental headbutts and one that looked bad and was damaging but was also accidental and even then one headbutt can't get you a DQ. They could have taken 5 points from Ward and he still would have won. And a 5 point penalty would have been excessive. Edison Miranda tried to headbutt AA's face off and he only got deducted like 2 points.

Actually if the results would of been fair, Andre Dirrell would have 4 points and Carl Froch would have 0.
Re: Super 6 Tiebreaking Rules?
Froch is only 10 seconds (against Taylor) away from having lost 3 in a row ;D
