Pick the worst matchup for these guys
For example, I can't think of a worse matchup for Floyd than Tommy Hearns. He couldn't counter that long fast jab with his right hand with any regularity like he usually can cause of the length and the quickness of it. If Floyd moved Hearns could fight a measured fight and maintain distance with his jab and right hand and I don't think Floyd would have been able to do enough offensively to win. If Floyd got behind and had to come to Hearns that would obviously be more problematic. And a right hand's gonna get there at some point.
So, just the first few guys I thought of
Floyd
Manny
Roy Jones
Bernard Hopkins
And the only real rule is no super fans coming in and saying OMG NO ONE! (Roy lovers I'm mainly looking at you here.)
Re: Pick the worst matchup for these guys
i honestly dont think we can say mayweather "cant" do something......i personally give him a chance against any atg, not saying he wins, but cant say he loses, i dont think we have seen what maywaether can do yet
Re: Pick the worst matchup for these guys
Not sure about Hearns, Mayweather has always had spectacular performances against tall fighters. That and Hearns chin is in question. But if he landed the right hand he could end it. But if thats the case I'd say Hearns is a worse matchup for someone like Manny Pacquiao then someone like Floyd Mayweather.
Re: Pick the worst matchup for these guys
Sure he could beat Hearns (I mean all of this is obviously pointless), I just don't think he would.
Its more just looking at bad style matchups. Long fast punchers with good boxing skills would be more problematic for Floyd than most other styles IMO.
Re: Pick the worst matchup for these guys
I think Hearns is a very tough test for Foyd.
I think for Manny, Floyd is probably the worst matchup although Hearns would look huge against him. I'd love to see him and Duran.
Roy Jones would have beaten anyone in his prime imo.
Hopkins worst matchup happened to him, prime Roy Jones.
imo Hopkins may well have beaten Hagler, Monzon, Ray Robinson et al.
He would have been a very tough fight for them all in his prime.

;D Gotta give you credit, you're always on your game.
Hearns chin isn't really that much in question versus Floyd.

Floyd Mayweather Jr = Tommy Hearns/Sugar Ray Robinson
Manny Pacquiao = Tommy Hearns/Donald Curry
Roy Jones Jr = Michael Nunn/Gerald McClellan
Bernard Hopkins = Marvin Hagler/James Toney
Re: Pick the worst matchup for these guys
Floyd = SRL equal speed and reflexes but with slightly more power
Manny = Tszyu's big right hand
Roy Jones = Hearns right hand
Bernard Hopkins = Nunn
