just ANOTHER thing on mayweather... lol
may have been repeated before so apologies if this is the case
did many other people notice, before he was hurt in round 2 he fought REALLY similarly to jones junior after junior got koed
is this floyd slowing down a bit with the legs like roach said, or is it floyd knowing mosely is a big puncher or is it floyd being EVEN smarter than I thought he already was a making a pre adjustmant to aviod what happened to jones!?
or im mad :)
Re: just ANOTHER thing on mayweather... lol
You mean he put the ear-muffs on?
I can't remember who said it but when you make Floyd put both gloves up real tight, you've hurt him or made him uncomfortable as Judah and Corley made him do.
Mosley did just that. He was more relaxed afterwards and used his feet to come in and out of range.
Re: just ANOTHER thing on mayweather... lol
I think you both may be right. But that we have to have to search and play his fights in slo mo to find faults is just more credit to his game. He just adjusts really well, i don't know how much truth there is to him not watching tapes on guys but it does seem kinda true, at some point early almost everyone he fights get's in some type of positive activity, then he adjusts and makes it a shut out from there on out. I don't think he's lost his legs at all. I just think he knew he wasn't going to get away with a decision fighting that way, and it maybe even threw mosley off a bit too. I don't think any of us is crazy...no one else has figured him out yet either.
Re: just ANOTHER thing on mayweather... lol
A lot of times putting the Muffs on is an invitation to the other fighter to walk right in on you and start teeing off on you. To some its an insurance policy in case youre not fast enough to get out of the way (as was mentioned about Roy Jones jr.).
If you got a brawler or a guy that wastes alot of his energy swinging big, its a way to wear the man down. Like Ali did to Foreman... (Kinda like fishing, If you got a big fish and try to reel him in right away when he still has fight in him... you'll break the line. So you tug every once in a while but hold strong in the meantime and he'll wear himself out and you can drag him on the boat easily once hes tired.)
Both kinda happened with Floyd and Shane. If you havent tested the speed yet of an opponent.. Its a good idea to keep your hands high till you get adjusted. Hopefully your gloves catch the punches your eyes don't. Shane wore himself out a little bit in the second and blew his load trying to get Mayweather out of there. After that point it seemed like Floyd would put his hands up just to get Shane to close in for the attack only to hit him in the mouth and then walk away. I guess the last thing you expect after you get an invitation is to be punched in the mouth when you ring the doorbell.

I think thats why he is a slow starter because he doesnt watch videos of his opponents and just figures them out in the ring.If he watched videos his opponents would'nt have any chance of catching him early lol.
