One of my favourite international films is 'Seven Samurai' by Akira Kurosawa. Just perfection...
It would be hard enough to get HTH to watch a subtitled film by itself, but add to that the fact that it is in Black & White and I think we can safely say there is a better chance of Bilbo not being a pedophile. :-\
Haha i'll look out for that. There are a few on here that watch subtitled films. I used to be a right snob until i bought Tell No One, not realising it was in French until i stuck it on. After about 5 minutes i forgot i was even reading the subtitles. Have you seen city of men?
City of Men was a really good film in its own right, but City of God was a total masterpiece. The kind of film that comes along once in a blue moon really!
I've been watching subtitled films for about 10 years now, since I first saw Battle Royale on a really fuzzy and poorly received transmission of Channel 4. Great film! I think Japan has one of the strongest cinematic track records in the world. The sheer number of classics I have seen from Japan is just crazy.
