Another reason belts don't mean anything
Sergio Martinez was stripped of his WBO middleweight belt, and now two guys will probably fight for the now "vacant" title. Here is the WBO reason;
"A WBO champion who wins a non-WBO championship in a weight class that is different than the weight class in which he holds his WBO championship must decide within 10 days of the non-WBO championship which title in which weight class he will retain. No WBO champion may hold a non-WBO championship in a weight class that is different from the weight class of his WBO championship."

This is what i think it means; sergio just paid our sanction fees for the belt, lets strip him of it so we can offer it up to two other guys so we can get some more fees. Then we can strip the winner of that, and continue the cycle.

So basically its saying in their organization you can't hold a title in two different weight classes for more then 10 days? You gotta choose one to defend with.
