Man - Had to go to work with a hangover today. Up partying and celebrating Blackhawks Stanley Cup championship. Chicago is going crazy.
Looks like we can get another 1 or 2 cups with the young team we have. Our top players are not even 25.

I think they will have some cap problems next season. at least they will have kane, toews and keith. probably have to get rid of a couple players like verteeg, buffflinn (I cant spell his name so I sounded it out hehe) sharp maybe.
they def deserved to win the cup this year though.

Boooourns! I hate the Blackhawks, but they're going to be good for a long time. They're going to lose a few of their role-players because of the cap, but they're also got a lot of good young talent in the system which should help make up for that.
As much as I hate the 'Hawks, and I do, I'm glad to see the sport become popular in Chicago once more, those fans had to put up with some terrible shit over the last 15 or so years.
Old man wirtz was one of the worst sports owners EVER....5 years ago the Hawks were ranked the worst major sports franchise. Wirtz Junior took over and has worked magic with the team. Bringing backk Hull and makita to games, aligning with the Bears in advertising and putting the games back on TV. 4 years ago there were players standing on the corner downtown handing out pucks, now they would be mobbed.Quote:

Vancouver will be in good shape for the next few years I think. look at the up and coming talent they have that could make the lineup next year, hodgson, shroeder, shirokov and our young guys right like that will look even better like grabner and raymond.
