Just read on ESPN Sergio Martinez has decided to stay at middleweight. He says it would be too hard to go back down to 154, but would consider fighting at a catch weight.
I understand his reasoning, but that sucks for boxing fans IMO. 160 is a fucking wasteland right now, while 154 is a deep and interesting division. Seems like the only hope for a big fight for Martinez is a rematch with Williams.
I agree, not many options at 160. I would like to see him get a couple fights then maybe a rematch with Williams. Maybe give Cotto a couple more fights with Emanuel Steward and a possible fight at a catch weight.Quote:
