Marco, how did your body feel when training began?

MARCO ANTONIO BARRERA: My body has not changed – it is the same as it has been for 20 years. I would like to say thank you to Bob Arum and Top Rank for giving me the opportunity to fight and show the world that I am here and ready for this fight.

Why did you want to resume your career?

MARCO ANTONIO BARRERA: I never really left. I have always been there and was just taking a rest.


Barrera looks in decent shape but welterweight is far too high and this Dejesus guy is a young fighter with a big punch and comes to fight. It will be inetresting to see what Mab has left cuz after this he is talking of dropping 2 weight classes to lightweight to fight Caesar Soto.
