Just read on ESPN he will fight Manuel Quezada on August 13. He's trying to work his way back to a big fight, i just don't see that happening.

As much as I don't like Cris, I would still be intrigued by an Arreola-Peter fight especially considering Sam has learned his lesson about staying in shape. Arreola apparently needs to learn the hard way and from here he can either get in shape or try out MMA...so far Arreola is the hispanic version of Randall 'Tex' Cobb
I've never been shy about the fact that I like Arreola, and I always thought he was good enough to beat everyone but the K Bros without staying in shape, but his loss against Adamek was in part due to the fact he couldn't find Adamek enough to get to him. He needs a new trainer that will beat him into shape. How about the Texas lady that trained Kirkland?
...i still belive chris shape and conditioning have nothing to do with why he looses. He lost to vitali, so what ? So has everyone else were they out of shape too ? Same with adamek chris could have weighed 160 pounds and he still would have lost. David haye has shown horrible conditioning in the past yet he looks at himself as a picture of health so where's the "haye needs to get in shape claims ? People are way too concerned with his appearance when making these claims. Shit juan diaz is one of the most out of shape looking guys out there on fight night. Why are his losses not blamed on his lack of a six pack. I've never in a fight seen arreola tired on fading down the strech. While getting his ass beat by vitali he was fighting to the very end...chasing and throwing, same with his other loss, on top of him never stopping he also hurt his hand and kept throwing. There's nothing wrong with this guy's condition, he's just been beat by guys better than himself on fight night.
Think you nailed it Mar.I think he could be a cut 218 but its not going to benefit his face first attitude and somewhat cro-mag boxing ability. We can stop wishing he'll lose weight and firm up, what we see is what we get.I dont think he's finished at top but can see facing him being a catch 22.Can be beat but very dangerous in there, off a few explosive kos vs opponent types he could find his way back onto big network as opponent and he goes from there. He fights his heart out,can bang and take punishment and speaks off the cuff...or the thrashings catch up and his his chin will go on ESPN to send him packing.
I don't disagree he's been beat by better guys on fight night, but if he was in better conditioning against Adamek he may have been able to cut the ring off better and force Adamek to stand and trade more often, which may have changed the result. Against Vitali, he had no chance.
When your out and about almost every weekend at clubs, drinking and eating late nights after the clubs. Chances are your never gonna come in shape to a fight...
Not to mention you'll never win a title.
