Rocky Martinez-Ricky Burns - Saturday 9pm Sky Sports 1 - Who Wins?

Burns has struggled with pressure exerted by British level fighters - Carl Johanneson, a faded Michael Gomez and Kevin O'Hara. Quite simply he can't punch for toffee. He can't keep good fighters off.

This fight will be a carbon copy of Martinez-Cook, no? Burns will look good for a few rounds boxing and moving until the Puerto Rican catches up to him.

7/4 for the stoppage is a decent-ish bet - yes or no?

Deffo good bet Matinez will stop him imo.

I read earlier the Martinez KO opened up at 5/2!!! What a bet that would have been, I need to get back on the ball.

How do you see Smith-Simpson going? Seems a lot of confidence behind the underdog Smith

I don't know mate I have been super impressed with Simpson recently and Smith with all this talent like I said in another thread alot of fellow pro's say he is the best prospect in the country, all the money is for Simpson they opened up more or less 5/6, I fancy Simpson I think it has come a little to early for Smith. But deffo tough one to call.

Martinez should beat him handily. Can't quite believe Burns has landed a shot. Good luck to him though.

That KO is into 6/4 now. I've gone for Smith in a few doubles and trebles too.

Rocky Martinez by mid round TKO

Had £20 double on Martinez stoppage and Simpson win pays just under £90.

Wow big money for Smith 4/6 he was 11/10 this morning.

Very early doors but might of got this badly wrong, haha Smith so far only first round looks a class above.

Anyone else watching this??

Simpson coming into it a bit now making it a rough fight his only chance as Smith is much better fluid boxer.

4-2 Smith but Simpson is finding his shots now and is looking like he has made this his fight.

BOOM nice body shot from Smith Simpson rocked looked hurt, warming up nicely this.

5-3 Smith for me.

Fairly tight so far, Simpson nudging ahead probably in my view, but it's all up for grabs still.

As for Martinez v Burns, I've only got one clear winner in Martinez, Burns will try hard for the early rounds with the home support right behind him, but class will out in the middle rounds in my view.
