Hatton almost certain to retire
BBC Sport - Ricky Hatton fighting career is 'done'
Great decision from Ricky, all this talk of a Khan fight for me would be suicide.
You can say what you wan't about Ricky and his shit jokes, but he was great for boxing and was up for the challenge of fighting the best.
Re: Hatton almost certain to retire
It's good for Hatton's health to retire.

Jesus Christ, he looks like a small cruiserweight here.
Re: Hatton almost certain to retire
great news all be it a little obvious, I hope he doesn't ever decide to make a return on the 60 quid investment for the license though !
Re: Hatton almost certain to retire
Oh hatton shut you're brett farve ass up, i think it's was messed up how people dove off his ship but he has nothing more to prove. It's not like he's gonna get any better than we've already seen and who's he going to fight ? Anyone i'd be interested in would probably just beat him down...... He had a pretty nice streak goin there for a min and an overall decent career but please just go sit down somewhere. You made it to top, most never even get close
Re: Hatton almost certain to retire

He hasn't fought for just over a year so not two years is it smart arse, secondly he he has not said anything to this effect in the 16 months since his last fight. ;)
Re: Hatton almost certain to retire
good move by hatton if he decides to hang them up! he had a great career and doesn't need to apologize to anyone. i was always a fan of his because of his no nonsense approach to boxing. well done ricky on a very good career!
Re: Hatton almost certain to retire
That's fair enough. He doesn't need the money and let's face it, all things considered he has had a very remarkable career. With a bit more discipline and evolution in style it could have been a bit better, but all things considered retirement is the right thing to do. He isn't going to be learning anything new now and his chin has been eroding.
I just hope he decides to stay in shape and not let himself go too much.

Good to hear. Their are pints to be consumed and clothing tailors in need of work ;D Really though, I like the guy but left hooks do not. Best of luck Ricky.

yeah gotta agree with that
whats done is done, hattons legacy has been cemented for future generations to attempt to follow in his footsteps
its a shame how it ended, but probably the right decision
