Re: The Magnificant 7 - How will they go?
WBO Welterweight Eliminator
Michael Jennings
Kell Brook
Kell Brook will just have too much all round, can only see one winner, but it should be a good scrap. Late stoppage.
European Middleweight title
Shalva Jomardashvili
Matthew Macklin
You never know, but it's Macklin for me. UD.
WBO Cruiserweight Interim title
Karo Murat
Nathan Cleverly
I can see Murat springing a suprise here, he's a tough guy, but my money will still be on Cleverly's class coming out on top. UD.
12 Rounds Super-Middleweight
Carl Dilks
James DeGale
DeGale will simply be too good and will boss the fight from round one. Mid stoppage.
European Cruiserweight title
Alexander Frenkel
Enzo Maccarinelli
I hope Eno loses, but I can't see it. UD to Enzo.
British and Commonwealth Heavyweight title
Sam Sexton
Derek Chisora
Probably the toughest to call, I'm going for Chisora late on just like last time.
European Light-Middleweight title
Lucas Konecny
Matthew Hall
Too easy, Matthew Hall. Late stoppage.
Re: The Magnificant 7 - How will they go?
Brook and Del Boy in the all english clashes.
The other fights the homes fighters win except:
Enzo and Matty Hall.
I also think 1/3 on Clev is way over priced I think he might nick it but this is closer fight than him being 1/3 for me, Would not be surprised to see him loose this is a massive step up from fighting the likes he has been.
One bet for me 5/6 For Matty's fight to end by stoppage. ;)

Mate have you seen Konecny fight? I am good mates with Matty and this guy is class he lost a split decsion against Serhiy Dzinziruk maybe the best in the division at 154 and one of the best technicians in the game, only advantage for Matty is that Konecny has not fought at 154 for a long time and maybe this might be a problem but all things being equal Konecny should be too much for Matty I hate to say.
Re: The Magnificant 7 - How will they go?
If Enzo's fight goes the distance i'll be amazed (as well as being sick then commiting suicide).
Enzo wins inside three rounds or gets sparked (i think getting sparked is more likely).
Hall gets stopped (outclassed).
Cleverly wins by stoppage (guy looks made for him).
Brook wins by stoppage (if he's world-class).
Chisora-Sexton I still can't decide (mainly because i'm dying to back the underdog).
Macklin wins by stoppage.
DeGale wins by stoppage.
Like Skel - I'm on Hall's fight to end inside the distance and also Enzo's ;)

I agree with all your winners except Hall. That's a 'pickem' for me
Re: The Magnificant 7 - How will they go?
Brook over Jennings - Mid to late round stoppage
Macklin over Jomardashvili - Wide UD or late stoppage
Cleverly over Murat - Clev's versatility will be the difference, a close points win for Clev
Degale over Dilks - Wide UD for Degale
Frenkel over Maccarinelli - I hope Enzo wins but I have a feeling this guy will catch him with something big
Sexton over Chisora - I'll back the underdog Sexton, fight could go either way
Konecny over Hall - Konecny by stoppage. Too experienced and proven at a higher level
Re: The Magnificant 7 - How will they go?
I've watched clips of Halls opponent, but haven't watched him live.
I still think Matt is just that cut above him and his skill will shine through.

WBO Welterweight Eliminator
Michael Jennings v Kell Brook
Brook KO - coming out party for Brook, he's been building nicely, and showing some lovely flashes, but should follow through on that potential and dishearten and stop Jennings down the stretch.
European Middleweight title
Shalva Jomardashvili v Matthew Macklin
Macklin KO - The opponent hasn't won outside of Georgia, and Macklin is going to be out of his league.
WBO Cruiserweight Interim title
Karo Murat v Nathan Cleverly
Cleverly UD - Although Clev's talking about going in and adapting to what's thrown at him, I think the plan has to be to box and win rounds at range, because Murat's definitely an inside fighter.
12 Rounds Super-Middleweight
Carl Dilks v James DeGale
DeGale UD - Dilks was harshly done by in both his defeats, but DeGale does look good, whatever his detractors say, but I think he will box his way to a comfortable win.
European Cruiserweight title
Alexander Frenkel v Enzo Maccarinelli
Maccarinelli KO - Another guy with a record littered with KOs against guys I've never heard of. Hopefully another Kotlobay, but if he's the real deal then Macca is definitely vulnerable.
British and Commonwealth Heavyweight title
Sam Sexton v Derek Chisora
Chisora KO late on - I think Sam Sexton is lucky to bringing his belt to the fight. Lots of ifs and buts from his fights with Rogan, but I reckon Chisora hits too hard, and Sexton isn't that resilient under a barrage of shots.
European Light-Middleweight title
Lucas Konecny v Matthew Hall
Konecny KO - Hall is in a massive step up against a vet with more experience at a higher level. Hope the home country advantage brings a big performance to prove me wrong.

Compared with some of the utter shit PPVs over the past few years - Haye-Valuev, Khan-Fagin/Salita, Hatton-Powderpuff etc - seven 50/50-ish 12 round title fights live for £15 seems a result (and even if you don't pay i'm sure Skel will know other ways to view it).
You enjoy the X-Factor ;D

I will watch it free on the net.
Think about having to pay for Haye and Khan's next fights too, whilst you are still paying the sky subsciption. Sky and Warren are bending you backwards and taking you up the ass. You enjoy it.

I don't mind paying for something I enjoy. PPVs aren't going anywhere, unfortunately
Re: The Magnificant 7 - How will they go?
WBO Welterweight Eliminator
Michael Jennings v Kell Brook
Brook KO - Brook is world class imo and will destroy Jennings as impressively as Cotto did. He's the star of tonight's card.
European Middleweight title
Shalva Jomardashvili v Matthew Macklin
Macklin KO - Macklin is on form right now and I think he will win late.
WBO Cruiserweight Interim title
Karo Murat v Nathan Cleverly
Cleverly UD - They say Murat has been in with better opposition but looking at his record I don't see any big names. Plus he's like a foot shorter. Cleverly improves with every fight and wins this much easier than some people are fearing.
12 Rounds Super-Middleweight
Carl Dilks v James DeGale
DeGale UD - Dilks was harshly done by in both his defeats, but DeGale does look good, whatever his detractors say, but I think he will box his way to a comfortable win.
Rhun had this perfect nothing else to say.
European Cruiserweight title
Alexander Frenkel v Enzo Maccarinelli
Frenkel KO the only fight I disagree with Rhun. That girl who got hit in the face with a melon takes a far better shot than him. He'll be wrecked and retired tonight if this Frenkel guy can break an egg.
British and Commonwealth Heavyweight title
Sam Sexton v Derek Chisora
Chisora KO I really like Chisora, cheeky chappy, and has backed it up so far. He stops Sexton again in a great fight. I except Sexton to cause him problems for 6 rounds though.
European Light-Middleweight title
Lucas Konecny v Matthew Hall
Konecny KO - I expect Hall to lose in a similar fashion to how Gavin Rees did to Kotelnik. He'll give it everything but get battered.
Aside from thinking Enzo will get sparked (and even I admit he is just as likely to spark the other guy) I'm in complete agreement with Rhun on every fight.
Re: The Magnificant 7 - How will they go?
I have a spare £55 ticket for this if anyone is interested. Can have it for £25. Me and my bro are heading down there now and will be a the LG Arena from about 5 ish.
