Tony Bellew who rates him?
Ex three time Heavyweight ABA Champ now fighting at 175. I rate him highly only thing he lacks is natural athleticism for me, he is maybe not ready for Cleverly yet but this fight could be massive in 18 months I think he would spark Clev.
He fights this weekend in London.

Re: Tony Bellew who rates him?
I think he's ok but I don't think he will ever be good enough for Cleverly. Cleverly for me is getting better and better with every fight and at only 23 I only see him becoming world class, His chin looks very solid but he does have a tendancy to take shots he wouldn't need to if he just moved around and boxed. Bellew on the other hand MAY have the one punch power on Cleverly but that for me is about it, and I'm not sure he could handle it when Cleverly started mixing up his combos like he was doing at weekend. It's a good thing that they are fighting so close together as now I can keep it fresh how Cleverly was and watch a compare to Bellew this week all beit against a lesser opponent.
Re: Tony Bellew who rates him?
he looks decent
im not sure about world level which is definately where cleverly is at
has bellow really fought anyone above journey man yet?
maybe when he starts mixing it at a higher level we will see what his potential is

Thats true mate still finding his feet, no fault of his own he is trying hard to get decent fights with other domestic rivals like Mcintosh etc but no one will fight him, still needs to be tested. Prior to the mag 7 on saturday he was involved is some tear up sparring sessions with De Gale.
Re: Tony Bellew who rates him?
I like him. Hard to tell how good he'll be until he steps up in class but he certainly looks a good puncher.
His fight on Friday is live on Sky.

He is certainly a no nonsense fighter and has a kind of aggressive nature about him that will certainly help him mentally against his opponents and he's very confident. Until he fights a good opponent, who isn't scared of him, we won't find anything new out. I imagine friday will be another KO win and another scream at the camera post fight. Good luck to him though I say, I like him.
Totally agree, has fought alot of cans so far but no fault of his own, this weekend should be another easy defence thats why I am smashing into the 5/6 SportingBet are offering for Bellew to win between rounds 1-6, one of my biggest bets of the year this absolute cert.

I agree Scrap...... Met lots of lads like him being from that way. He seems a totally down to earth lad that loves to fight, is scared of no-one, is ambitious and is very aggressive. They are some great attributes to add to his Power, movement and skill. He can definately improve. I liked him from the very first fight I saw him in a couple of years back.
Re: Tony Bellew who rates him?
I like him he looks pretty good , early to say if he will go all the way , but id like to see him fight Cleverly , who for me takes to many punches.
Time will tell , but Bellew looks good.
