Haye's not even the biggest personality in the sport of boxing, much less sports in general, the guy needs to get off his pedestal and get working, a fight against Fraudley isn't gonna get him anywhere, hell any decent top 10 would have done, but we're wiser than to think Haye would take on a decent challenger now aren't we ;)

No real main contenders this year

Mcdowelll has to be odds on for this surely - though if Hamilton won F1 he would probably become favour.

It's also about time Phil Taylor got some recognition for what he's done in his sport.

In spite of all this its a sure thing Paul Scholes will win on a carreer end sympathy vote ;)

We should just stop making topics about Haye for a little time, he's captivating way too many topics over there.

Why doesnt he deserve it ?

He is the World Heavyweight Champion ( well one of them ) Fact

The 1st Brit to hold it since Lennox ! Fact

He does actually have a personality ! Fact

The award is for a sportsman with a personality, and to be fair Scholes barley squeaks out a comprehendable word when he does appear in front of a camera, which is not that often.


I wouldnt rule out Phil Taylor - or should I say, I wouldnt begrudge him the award, He has certainly done enough to warrent the award imo.

But as it's been said, the whole thing is a sham and fixed anyway !!

public vote hasd been used for several years now - if not for that i reckon the sports personnel who had the votes would have recognized Taylor 2-3 years back.

as it happens with public vote any footballer in with a remote chance - has an even better chance if you get my drift

They'll never let Taylor win it in a million years. Imagine all those famous faces and famous athletes and Britain's best representative is a 50-year-old great big fat bloke.

I think Taylor is awesome but he shouldn't be in front of Tony McCoy.
