Cunningham confirms Jan 29th showdown

Kevin Cunningham, trainer of WBA/IBF jr welterweight champion Devon Alexander, confirmed Saturday evening to Fightnews.com that Alexander has signed to fight WBO champion Timothy Bradley on January 29th. Cunningham referenced that the host city will be either Miami or Vegas. Cunningham and Alexander were attending Saturday night’s “Boxing in the Park” card in St. Louis, Missouri featuring WBC USNBC cruiserweight champion Ryan “The Irish Outlaw” Coyne defending his title against Shane Steele.

Bradley wins comfortably . Alexander would fade after 6 .

I like Bradley. Huge momentum and has grown so much. Only thing is at his pace and level of comp...when does a fighter hit a wall,burnout. Abregu was awkward and strong but personally I didn't think Tim looked so hot.

for me, bradley takes this one. that last alexander fight made me realize he was a little bit overrated. bradley is the real deal at jr. welter.

Bradley by UD. Exciting fight.

If Bradley takes Alexander seriously (as in NOT overrated) then he should really do a number on him.

Given how much trouble Alexander had with Kotelnik I think Bradley outworks Alexander and massively outpoints him.

Alexander showed he has trouble against someone who has a defensive style that is a good counter puncher, because he is a natural counter puncher. So Kotelnik out timing him was an issue.

However Bradley is not Kotelnik and he isn't gonna try to outcounterpunch Alexander, he will be pushing the action a lot giving Alexander more opportunities to counter. Kotelnik presented fewer of them because he was controlled and counter mentality first. Bradley isn't gonna fight that way.

So I don't think it will be as easy as people think since Bradley's style is one Alexander would probably prefer over one like Kotelnik. He'll get more openings with Bradley than he would against Kotelnik.

Bradley is a very under rated and non respected fighterwho deserves more, like a big shot at Manny afetr he beats Devon and Amir.

Bradley gets up off the canvas to close strong and win a decision.
