Well Dimitrenko, Boytsov, and Mormeck backed out of this competition leaving it open to more American fighters so hopefully someone will take advantage. So right now we have...

This is interesting and I'm all for heavyweight tournaments, but this group is lackluster at best. I think if Boytsov was involved it would have been better though. There should be some decent scraps in this group.
What's the planned format?
Looks like we'll see Wlad-Chambers II :(
I think its Chambers-Rossy 2, Banks-Harris and then the winners fight. So I guess single elimination.Quote:

This must be a depressing state of affairs for american heavyweight fans....these guys are fighting to get the Klitschko paycheque, cause none of them have any chance unless we have a freak accident in there.
I think the IBF need to mix this up and get Michael Sprott in there!
Sprott is busy fighting Bruno! ;)

Maurice Harris is nothing very special at all, it's a shame he's been included in this tournament.
The sad thing about this whole event is the lack of young undefeated fighters jumping at the chance to get their title shot because there is talent in the heavyweight division but right now they are refusing to take any chances.
I know it's a pretty negative thing to hope for, but if there was an injury there, who are the young fighters on the up who would step up to the breach, and mix things up in this tourney? Trying to track all the boxing prospects in the US must be a nigh on impossible task, but you must have a few names on the rise.Quote:

Doubt it will happen mate, a couple of years ago I thought Banks was one of the top prospects in the sport, now he looks like he will never become the talent I thought he could become!Quote:
