Another great chapter in the classic Puerto Rico - Mexico boxing rivalry. (SPOILER)

Helluva fight between JML and Marquez! Gotta hand it to Marquez... he's a warrior. But totally overmatched by our main man JuanMa. It was a great, action-packed fight. Hated the excuse-making by Marquez at the end about his shoulder. It didn't look that hurt to me while they were fighting. But excuse-making will always be a part of boxing, I guess. And WHAT THE HELL was Weeks' problem?!? Giving warnings only to JuanMa for pushing Marquez's head down and even taking a point away in one round. What about Marquez coming in "ostrich-style", with his head down? Why didn't Weeks warn him about THAT? Well... turns out JuanMa didn't need the point taken away after all. Great victory... and in Marquez's backyard. YE-E-E-E-E-E-S-S-S-S-S.

It def. was a great fight and most def. another great chapter in the sports most richest rivalry...

great fight and great for the sport. these 2 guys poured every ounce of who and what they were into this fight. it don't matter how it ended, so much as we learned about the attractive side of the human spirit with this sport. what a battle!

O ya it was a sweet fight. I think It will be top ten fight of 2010 for sure.

great, great fight! even though marquez lost, i wasn't that sad at all because i couldn't really see him winning the fight. i was however, very happy for the very classy juanma! this guy oozes class! i kind of thought the fight would go the way it did. juanma was the younger, fresher and bigger fighter and i thought if the fight lasted past the 7th round, marquez would start to wear down. both latin warriors came to fight and better yet, showed the kind of respect puerto ricans and mexicans should always show one another. aside from juanma getting rocked by marquez, i thought he was in control the whole fight and thought the only way marquez was going to win was by early KO. both fighters showed great chins and both really dug deep inside and gave us the fans all they had. what more can we ask for?

It was the kind of fight you don't want to see end and just want to see it go on and on. Juanma was pouring it on in the last 2 rounds and marquez did well, don't know how the fight would have went 3 years ago. Juanma and Gamboa should be one hell of a fight when it gets made.
