Pac and Marquez are still about the same weight.
Just thought I would post this as over the last year are so some people seem to think Pac is using PED.
They just cant get there head round him moving up and looking stronger and just as fast, and many times me and people like Ono have stated he hasn't really put lots of weight on in reality.
On saturday night the time JMM entered the ring he weighed 145 lbs Pac a couple of weeks ago entered the ring at 148 lbs he could easily make Lighhtweight and a fight at 147 or 140 or 135 won't really matter if it happens they will besically be the same weight fight night, I think the only dvantage is Pac not having to strip or dehydrate but I honestly don't see it being a problem for him so If I was Roach just to shut the ahters up I would agree to watever weight ( we no this wont be the case, and the fight will happen at 147 if it does.) I honestly think if he lost to Dela Hoya he woud probably be still at 135 but that fight opened up alot of doors at 147 and around that weight.
Re: Pac and Marquez are still about the same weight.
Same case with Caballero and Litzau. They are 130 lber but entered the ring 144-145. Gee, they must be on PEDs too huh? Lol.
Anyways, If I was roach I will have Manny to go down at 135 and snatch JMM's belt for 5th lineal title. That'd be fucking orgasmic! (in non gay way). ;D
Re: Pac and Marquez are still about the same weight.
What were their weights, come fight night, the other two times? I think Marquez should be 2-0 but at 140 or above i'll back Pac to stop him.
Re: Pac and Marquez are still about the same weight.
psl,
the question is this, will pacquiao risk a loss to the man who manhandled him twice? no, i take that back, pacquiao isn't afraid of fighting anybody, it's his butt buddy freddie roach who handpicks all of pacquiao's "dangerous" foes. and did you notice that bob arum recently said there wouldn't be a third marquez fight but instead are leaning towards fighting shane mosley? true but unbelieveable. :o
Re: Pac and Marquez are still about the same weight.
are we having a peds discussion of a JMM v Pac fight discussion?
I think JMM is very very unlucky to have lost both those fights, if they had gone the other way pac would be less unlucky than JMM is if you get what i mean

Lol. If JMM manhandled Pac twice, then how come Juanita is the one who's crying for a third match? JMM is obviously horing and he's willing risk his life for it. Most fightfans want to see a competitive fight. Do you think we will see that in Pac-JMM 3? Do you think Pac fighting Mosely is more of a cakewalk than Pac fighting JMM for a third tme?
Re: Pac and Marquez are still about the same weight.
psl,
marquez is the only fighter who can give pacquiao fits. it's funny how pactardo fans never mention that the vast majority of pinoy sportswriters, philippine government officials and even your very own, nonito donaire thought marquez beat pacquiao in their rematch. most international boxing writers and U.S. boxing writers thought marquez beat pacquiao TWICE. and now you're saying marquez would be no match for pacquiao? don't be so ignorant. styles make fights and marquez has the perfect style to beat pacquiao. it's clearly becoming evident that team pacquiao is nothing more than a fraud and a fake. oh, sure, don't fight marquez cause he's old but they will fight mosley at 39 years old? besides, marquez isn't washed up like mosley. mosley is absolutely done as a legitimate championship fighter now. it's been evident that team pacquiao picks on fighters who will give them the least amount of resistance. and watch roach demand that mosley come in at a catchweight. it's bound to happen again. marquez is still a very formidable opponent for pacquiao. maybe that's why most of you pactardos don't want another marquez fight because if it wasn't for those corrupt judges, marquez would have beaten your anointed one twice.

Hahaa! "Philippine goverment officials" he says. Them against 80 million Filipinos, non-filipino, and official judges who thinks it was the right decision. The decision could have gone either way, kodus to both of them. But you have to understand that it's always hard to avoid controversy with a razor thin verdict like that.
True, styles make fights. But check this out though. Marquez, as great as he is, is no longer on the same level as Manny. If you don't see it that way, then you're a hater. Pac simply evolved into a juggernaut beyond the lightweight division. Pac would slauther him above 135.
Pac has won all fights he had over the 135-lb limit, all of which are against heavier and bigger opponents. In contrast, Marquez only has one showing beyond the lightweight limit and that was a losing, looking like shit against Floyd.
Re: Pac and Marquez are still about the same weight.
Both Pacquiao-Marquez fights can either be considered a robbery or a close one. For anyone who thinks that it's a robbery in Pac's favor, then they are talking BS and isn't even credible. It's such a close fight that it could have gone the other way. If Manny was just lucky to have been given the nod in the second fight, so be it. In close fights, someone is likely to end up lucky.
Milmascaras1, do you consider their fight to be a robbery? Because if not, then why do you even have to mention that so and so scored the fight in favor of one boxer? Those people that you mentioned are not even a good enough representation of the number of people who watched the fight.
Re: Pac and Marquez are still about the same weight.
psl,
so now you're calling me a "hater" because i still think marquez is as good or better than pacquiao? it's very interesting that here is pacquiao, supposedly the greatest fighter of all time, (according to pactards) and he won't fight the man who gave him the most trouble and schooled him? it tells you how bad the higher weight fighters are. or is it that marquez is just that good? PSL, name me one FAST and YOUNG fighter pacquiao has faced in the last 7-8 years? the one he did face was agapito sanchez and pacquiao wanted to quit because he was getting bullied. pacquiao even ducked joan guzman when pacquiao was at super featherweight and guzman was still a super bantamweight. that is humiliating. hell, even marquez traveled to the philippines and went up to pacquiao's face and told him he wanted a rematch in front of all of pacquiao's fans and all pacquiao could do is utter "uh, aa, i, wazzz, uh, aa, lucky". lol...marquez put his ass on the spot and pacquiao had one of those "wanna get away"? moments. call me a hater if you will just like every pactard fan who doesn't agree that he is the greatest of all time, but something is very fishy in the way team pacquiao does business. look, devon alexander, amir khan, andre berto and timothy bradley are all available but no, arum wants to fight the 39 year old mosley who looks like he's ready for the grave. until pacquiao starts fighting and beating prime, fast fighters, i will consider him a fraud and a fake. other websites have caught on to this fake flake.

A good neutral ground would be 140. Since when Pac hydrates it would be around the 148 to 149 range. And also Marquez doesn't need to come in at 140, he could come in around his 134 to 135 range where he feels comfortable and then rehydrate to whatever he wants. I mean look at Pac he doesn't come in at the WW limit and comes in usually 2 to 3 pounds under the limit and rehydrates where he is comfortable.
To be honest, I think this fight should have happened a while back, it has lost a lot of it's luster. I hope Pac fights the winner of Bradley/Alexander instead or even Berto, you know some new blood.
Re: Pac and Marquez are still about the same weight.
neutral,
yes i do consider the 2nd pacquiao/marquez fight a robbery. it's funny how bob arum wanted to install one of his judges he handpicked to be a judge. something is very fishy. i had marquez winning easily by three points. FYI, knockdowns alone do not determine fights. it's who wins most of the rounds and marquez won at least 8 rounds.
Re: Pac and Marquez are still about the same weight.
Both of these dudes are great fighters in their own respect, no reason to deify one and downplay everything the other has done. I think a 3rd jmm fight would actually be a a bigger challenge for pac than mosley, who's on the clear downside of his career.
"Pac has won all fights he had over the 135-lb limit, all of which are against heavier and bigger opponents. In contrast, Marquez only has one showing beyond the lightweight limit and that was a losing, looking like shit against Floyd."
While this is true, has pac fought anyone as great and skilled as marquez at the heavier weights. Let's be honest all of the dudes he beat at the heavier weights were one loss removed from a severe beating(margo, cotto, hatton) or weight drained to hell(odlh).Saying that it's still a great accomplishment, if it wasn't everyone would be doing it, but he has yet to face someone at the bigger weights that's as skilled as marquez. If the fight is fought at 140 and no higher I think we see something similar to the two first matches, which were great fights due to two great warriors.

You forgot the 80 million Filipinos, the government and officials not only helps Pac win his fights for engaging in a boxing conspiracy, they also help provide Pac with A-Side meth to make him invincible in the ring.:o:cool:
