Ricardo Mayorga fight this weekend, is it going to be televised or streamed ?
Everyone's favorite potty mouthed Nicaraguan loveable scamp is FINALLY getting back in the ring on the 17th against Michael "Midnight Stalker" Walker.
Never heard of or seen this Walker guy, maybe some of you have, just lookin at his Boxrec record he appears to be decent with a 19-5 (12 KOs) record and a natural Middleweight unlike my boy Mayorga.
This walker fella is on a 4 fight losing streak with his last two losses coming from TKO's from Andy Lee and Fernando Guerrero.
Anyone gonna watch this fight ? CAN you watch the fight ? I mean is it televised ?

The press conference is on youtube and Mayorga seems relatively subdued while Walker takes his shirt off.
Walker fought Andy Lee in his last fight and although he got stopped in round 8 he was still on his feet just not doing much. Hes only short at 5.7" and although hes lost his last 3, they were all this year, so hes going to be fit and sharp and is naturally stronger than Mayorga. Fuck I hope Ricardo has done some decent training for this! Although I dont think Walker will stop him but if Ricardo fails to stop him early I could see Walker beating him on points because I bet Walker will have put some training in for this as a win over Mayorga will get him another decent fight.
Apparently, Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather will be commentating on the fights too!

I imagine this Walker fella is durable despite his TKO losses as he is a natural MW and has been very active as you've said.
God I hope Mayorga whips his ass.
Honestly they could have gotten Mayorga a much better comeback opponent than this guy.
He must be stocky as fuck to be a 5'7" MW.

He is, he looked like a midget against Lee!!
To be honest, Lee boxed like a fanny in that fight, very cautious to the point that he looked scared of Walkers power!

Re: Ricardo Mayorga fight this weekend, is it going to be televised or streamed ?
Walker looked alright when he first popped on the scene against Echols, he has done a nose dive in his recent fights. He tends to cover up too much, doesnt counter that much at all. This should be easy enough for Mayorga I wouldn't worry too much. :p

I just watched the Guerrero fight on youtube and I remember seein this Walker guy before, I think in the Daniel Jacobs fight, I just didn't remember the name.
He's not a bad fighter, but like you say he just does not let his hands go.
Too short for the weight class as well.
Is this fight on the Ray Austin vs. Oldanir Solis under card ? I think it is.

Yep, along with Tavoris Cloud. In fact Mayorga has been training with Solis and in one of the videos iv posted from youtube, Solis is actually taking Mayorga on the pads.

Huh.
Well lets hope they aren't using the same nutrionist.

Weigh-in Video
Ricardo Mayorga: 'Le tengo rabia a mi rival' - Fanáticos
Fightnews said Mayorga punched Walker then a melee ensued  Just a push then some trash talk but still worth a watch. At the end brief footage of the Cloud-Zuniga & Austin-Solis staredowns.
Re: Ricardo Mayorga fight this weekend, is it going to be televised or streamed ?
hell yeah! the human punching bag is back again. Ricardo can certainly help give more color to boxing nowadays.=)

He actually weighed in at 162.5 but he managed to fight a good pace heavier than that against Vargas, although he is a few years older and Walker is a natural middle.
Id love to see it go around 5 rounds and Ricardo get a KO win. Its hard to know how fit he is right now, if he is fit then I dont see this fight being a problem. I think if he gets a good win here, he will be Cottos next opponent and id give Mayorga a seriously good chance there too!
If he does stop Walker before 8 rounds, how shit does that make Andy Lee look;D That a 36 year old semi retired welter can better him!

Yes I remember the Vargas fight well, I loved it ! Two knockdowns he scored and sent Vargas into retirement ! I like Vargas a lot too but Mayorga is my favorite fighter.
I'm not going to lie I'm a little worried about this fight.
Mayorga better fucking be in shape !
This is his LAST CHANCE.
He wins this fight and he's back in the money. He loses it and its all over for El Matador.
Damn it I wish I could watch this fight tonight ! But they aren't showing it anywhere the bastards.
