What do you guys think of all the big fights recently??
With this last quarter of 2010 almost finished; I have to say it looks like boxing is coming back up.
In the last couple of months we've had these big fights. I know I am missing some but I'm bout to go christmas shopping so I'm in a hurry:cool:
Martinez/Williams 2
JuanMa/Marquez
Khan/Maidana
Pac/Margarito
Arbraham/Froch
Haye/Audley;)
Johnson/Green
Pascal/Hopkins
Marquez/Kats
All of those in a month or two span.

It's only a good thing. With the popularity of MMA they have to stop spoon feeding the top boxers easy opponants to make up cards. Being a guy who grew up watching the golden age of heavyweights in the 60 s when all the good fighters fought each other can only hope we get back to that.
Re: What do you guys think of all the big fights recently??
They had to overload the last couple of months cause the rest of the year was kind of slow with high profile fights. I feel like 2011 will be a huge year for boxing. Maybe not for mainstream fans, but for us fight fans. On second thought, maybe a little bit of both.
I personally predict that this will be the year where we will see Haye fight a Klitschko brother. If he is somehow able to beat one of them (which I highly doubt), the fans win cause the other brother WILL challenge him right after. Also, Povetkin and Adamek have been making some noise in the heavyweight division and since the focus is on the Haye/Klit Bros rivalry, maybe those two can square off and set up an eventual matchup with them.
Since the Super-6 tourney is on almost over, imagine matching Froch, Ward, Kessler with Bute who is just chilling on the sidelines.
I actually feel bad for Sergio Martinez. We will probably get to see more of him in 2011 cause he's starting to get really popular so we'll see some spotlight fights for him, but he will have to move to different weight classes to get meaningful fights.
We are going to start off with Alexander vs Bradley and with Khan waiting for the winner, we are going to be getting the best 2 fights that can be made in Jr. Welter. Also, Maidana will probably get the loser of the Alexander/Bradley fight to supposedly "revitalize" the career of the two losers which will also be a good fight regardless of the matchup.
We have Lopez, Gamboa, and John on top the of the featherweight division, 2011 is where they will start to fight each other.
Hopefully, this will be the year to see if Donaire deserves his ranking in the P4P list.
Finally, after I've just been sitting here rambling about random things popping in my head about our beloved sport, If we do not get Pacquiao vs Mayweather in 2011, it will never happen or will have very little interest as compared to how it's been this year and how it will be next year.

There haven't been any 'big fights'.
A few high profile boxers have fought bums but thats about it.
