Soccer Prediction Game

I'm thinking of starting a soccer prediction game. I'll list a group of games from the following lists:
England Premier League: Games of top four of table
Spain La Liga: Games of top four of table
Germany Bundesliga: Games of top four of table
Italy Serie A: Games of top four of table
France Ligue 1: Games of top four of table
Netherlands Eredivisie: Games of top four of table
Australia A-League: Games of top four of table
Mexico Primera Division: Games of number 1 of each group
Argentina Primera Division: Games of top four of table
Brazil Futebol Brasileiro: Games of top four of table
USA/Canada MLS: Games of top two of each division

You the player will Pick one winner from each league. Picks will be made weekly.
You can only choose between teams that play between the start and end date of the period.

Scoring will be done as follows:
Win 3 Points
Draw 1 Point
Loss 0 Points

This is a good idea, I'd be up for it if others got involved. I could do with winning another football prediction game after my World Cup triumph :cool:

Well if we can get at least 4 more people it'll be worth it to do this.

Good effort Greg I think just the Premiership would be enough personally, I don't think enough people follow the other leagues in europe and woulndt have a clue who to pick.

It would be easy enough to do just the 10 Premiership games each week to make sure we keep the UK at the centre of the universe :P

Haha mate I would gladly do all the leagues but I think on a whole not many on here follow the leagues and see it as not worth while maybe I am wrong.:p

Anyone else doing fantasy league/i know the score prediction?
I'm (10351/210561) on I know the score, and 94,895 on the main fantasy.

I'm sure you're right, I just had to get a jab in. As an aside, if we did the MLS as well, we could do this year round.

Hey Greg,

Sign me up for that...whenever you get it underway, and whichever leagues you choose.

Alright lets get some feedback on this idea.

Top four Premier League games you pick the winner of all four, you get 3 points for each win, 1 point for each draw and 0 points for each loss. GD will also be kept track of to break ties.

Once the MLS season starts you will pick 2 Premier league games, 1 MLS west and 1 MLS east.

The listings of what to pick will be clearly labelled each week, something like this:

I know it's a bit of a left-of-centre request, but with my odd shift pattern and odder sleeping habits, watching MLS happens more often than you'd believe, so I'm not sure if the games on ESPN UK are linked in with those live in the US, but if they do tie up that'd be good.

Yeah I'm not sure if or how much ESPN UK shows MLS, in the US it's a bit of a mess. ESPN plays one MLS game a week, Fox Soccer Channel plays 2-3 a week, and telefutura plays one a week sometimes.
I actually bought the Direct Kick package that got all the remaining games. USUALLY the one game a week ESPN has is a team that's in the top two in one of the divisions. When the season gets closer we'll check the schedule and see what we can do. I'd imagine that ESPN UK would have the same games as ESPN as that's all they currently have right for.

Of course right now the MLS is in discussion with all the networks right now so everything may change.
